SRK Lounge: The Now Open Edition

I haven’t played the demo, so I can’t speak to whether or not it’s a good representation of the finished game.

That said, 3 is not as scary as 2. In my opinion, “1” wasn’t as scary as 2*. I find myself empathizing with Clarke as the games go on. In his shoes, I don’t believe I’d be as terrified of everything. Scared, still, and creeped the fuck out.

It’s still scary. It’s more engaging than the previous games. I’ve shouted a handful of times while playing it. The transition to full-on action has been grossly overstated. Isaac isn’t a killing machine all of a sudden, and everything still feels very Dead Space.

*In a way, I mean. Dead Space was almost intolerable to play because of how relentless the pacing was. Dead Space 2 was easier to play for long sessions, but the sense of dread was huge.

Sorry to go all Dead Space in here, but I don’t dare tread in the appropriate thread just yet.

Yea Dead Space 1 was relentless. It tired me out. I still haven’t finished it. I should try again…with the lights on.
God damn Arkham City has some nerve-wracking fights. Even navigating the city gets tough at some points

Superior

[details=Spoiler]Doc’s plan was to swap bodies with Peter. His body
was dying and his plan worked. That’s why Parker is astral or
whatever.[/details]
He does a pretty good job of making Parker look
stupid though. Hundreds of spider bots to monitor the city backed with
an app that allows him to be on the know. His claws are lined with
spider tracers so he used that to find out and plan ahead to take out a
team of villains. He’s actually more brutal and ruthless than Parker
that’s even better. Almost like Scarlet Spider.
cheh,

It sure would be nice if that damn company wasn’t taking 500 years to release Dragon’s Crown on Vita. I had actually forgotten the title, and had to look up “what happened to that hack and slash game on vita” for awhile before finding it just now.

Isn’t that some annoying shit, when companies take forever to put a game out? People eventually get tired of waiting, and they forget that it ever existed. Heh, I wonder how many people are waiting on… whatever that PS3 game was with the giant dog creature that a little boy found…The Last Guardian? Yep, that’s it. I was never looking forward to that one, but it was entertaining to watch the reaction of the would-be fans of that game, constantly disappointed as it repeatedly fails to show up at the various industry events. I’m guessing it will be a launch title for the PS5… after a cool preview trailer is run for it at E3 in 2018. The whole situation with the latest Gran Turismo (haha, realistic racing games…get the fuck out of here with that garbage) was also funny.

Duke Nukem Forever was the king of that, of course… I remember there was a website where they chronicled all the things that have happened since that one was announced. I should go ahead and get that game… heh, because I keep seeing it on sale for ridiculous prices at the local gamestop… it’s WAY past bargain-bin status, and it’s been that way for quite awhile. I’m talking “< $5.00” range, folks… spend 3.99 and get a game where the main character can fish a turd out of a toilet bowl, and you get achievement points? Yeah, sign me up for that. Imagine the people that bought that shit at full price! :))
Dead Space 1 is my favorite in the series. I don’t find them scary though, just filled with “boo!” scares that might get you to jump sometimes.
