That’s literally all it has to be. You should watch some of their Super Replays, it’s a fucking train wreck. I just read it. Holy shit.<br><br><i>“Combat is entertaining, but “style over substance” is the defining
theme. The graphics are fantastic, the moves look cool, and the

selection of special attacks, but the lack of variety in enemies and
encounters means that you aren’t required to master them. Basic button
mashing is usually fine, since few foes need to be approached with
specific tactics. The formula for success gets old quickly: slash away
until you see an enemy telegraph an attack, block, and resume slashing.”</i><br><br>Battles aren’t demanding? Lack of enemy variety? Basic button mashing fine? I’d love to see him button mash his way through Rising’s bosses and later enemies to see how far he gets. And parrying works just fine for me (insert coffee smiley)<div><br></div><div>That was a bullshit review, and its obvious they have a vendetta against MGR Revengeance.</div>
I said it in the MGR thread, but the dude just mashed his way through easy for his paycheck. There’s no other way. It seems like he’s penalizing it for not catering to his flipperhands and lack of timing, and also for not being DmC. <div><br></div><div>I’m not saying game is PERFECT or anything, but holy shit. When I reviewed Outland that game kicked my ass but I didn’t hate on it for that. I gave it MORE points for actually being challenging. </div><div><br></div><div>My 3rd Strike faux review in the thread was literally the ONLY comparison I could draw because I’ve never seen ANYONE fuck up this bad. This is a simple, fundamental part of the game. This is not rocket science. I guess CoD continues to score well because it doesn’t have anything more complex than “point and shoot”. I can’t wait until you no longer need to point!</div><div><br></div><div>The new Final Fantasy will score high, regardless of actual quality. Then a month later they’ll be talking about how it is singlehandedly responsible for strangling the life out of the JRPG genre. They’ve done it twice in a row now, so why would this time be different?</div><div><br></div><div>Oh, was it Joe Juba who reviewed MGR? Cause he gave DmC a 9 out of 10.</div>
Just saw a commercial for a new show Robot Combat League and just remembered about those old robot wars shows where teams would build small robots to face off against each other. Forgot alllllllllllll about that shit.<br><br>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuB3PyjHQFE<br><br>LMAO at that robot getting launched out the ring at the end.<br><br><br>
So today, I:<div><br></div><div>-Actually had a good day in China.</div><div>-Met some decent foreigners (re: Not drunk butch black lesbians hitting on my wife in front of me)</div><div>-Ate some actually good Chinese food (Ironically, at a restaurant name Lennon’s, with Beatles memorabilia all over)</div><div>-Played some AE, had some good matches.</div><div><br></div><div>Then comes the weird part.</div><div><br></div><div>There was an arcade attendant hovering around the SF and Tekken machines, that spoke English. Every once and a while he’d talk to me after a match, was decently nice. Just before I left to come home, I had to pee, went to the bathroom.</div><div><br></div><div>And he walked in behind me.</div><div><br></div><div>Then he goes, “Hi.” and just stares at me. And then stares…south. I’m already perturbed as I can possibly be, then he pulls out a cigarette and offers it to me. Um…I don’t smoke, but even if I did, don’t I look a little…um, busy?</div><div><br></div><div>So homey stands in there and watches me piss while he’s smoking a cigarette. I pissed as fast as I could, didn’t even bother washing my hands, and GTFO of there.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>…But um, beyond that, it was a good day.</div>

I remember someone posting that GoW hired someone to mash square all day to beat the game and see if it was fun. What I like about Rising is you can play it anyway you want. Focus on stealth when available or rushdown. Technically you can even button mash as long as you keep moving or block when needed too. Obviously it won’t fly on later difficulties but you also get wigs to assist with things like infinite meter. If you are feeling like there is a lack of challenge you can actually get the wooden sword and when you upgrade it…the sword actually downgrades in effectiveness rofl! There is basically something for everyone.<br><br>The lock-on and camera need work and I’ve noticed both Ninja Gaiden and MGR are 3rd person action games with no fixed camera angles and they always have issues because of this. Is it really that hard to program a suitable camera for this style of action game? I noticed the old DMC games and GoW have fixed camera angles at certain moments. From what I’ve seen the new DmC has a better camera than Rising. <br><br><blockquote class=“Quote”>

Yeah I just got the gold trophy for listening to a majority of the
codecs. Tons of references to Snake,Otocon,Raidens Family,Patriots etc.
The list really goes on and a majority of the story takes place in
codecs just like any other MG game. Also I doubt this reviewer touched
anything above normal and there is a code to unlock revengeance off the
bat. So I don’t know why he complains about difficulty. It seems the
same viruses that lurk in normal press have become an integral part of
VG journalism. <br>
New show on the CW called Cult. It’s pretty damn cool so far, can’t wait to see where it goes. <div><br></div><div>Anywho, can anybody recommend me a damn good gaming keyboard?</div>

So earlier I was thinking about the state of the world. Every country sucks. They all just suck. We all get one thing right, and then massively fuck up something else. As for the US, our biggest sin is probably coddling people too much, resulting in a generation of self-entitled pricks that are paranoid about thinks like their kids choking or hurting themselves to the point where they stopped remembering that they can just teach kids how to not act retarded and take the blame for their lack of parenting when they do.<br><br>That said, we Americans do kick ass for making everyone think our language is important, which the British gave us a fantastic head start on, btw giving credit where it’s due … even though that whole imperialism thing did kind of fuck us all in the ass after the nation with the most naturally studious and intelligent people in the world (ie: India) picked up English and started taking all er jerbs.<br><br>Coulda left them alone, but noooooooo… had to have dat darjeeling. I wanted to see the rivers of haterade and tears that would be released by old men who didn’t want to see a girl winning in “their” sport. Still, she’s moving up in the game and soon she shall claim the highest honor. I so wanted to feel the hate they would unleash upon the world. By consuming their tears of pain and grief, my own power would become stronger than ever and perhaps then I would be able to achieve the final, perfect hate.
