*I wonder how long they MTV will keep “Teen Mom 2” as the title… ever notice that it’s had that name for years now? According to the on-screen guide info I was just looking at… it’s season 4… so isn’t it really “Teen Mom 5”, assuming they’re counting with season 1 of TMom2 for whatever reason? It continues to surprise me that people apparently still watch that. There is seriously not one aspect of that show that is appealing to me…nothing…no redeeming quality at all. Normally, you’d at least get some hot girls on an MTV show…but the show doesn’t even have that. There’s 1 or 2 of the girls I’ve seen from there that are reasonably alright, and that’s really the best you can say about it.
“Lightweight comedies” are the keywords. His character in “Yes, Man!” was horrible compared to his earlier work, and I haven’t even bothered to see the “penguin movie” he’s in, because it seems like a horrible concept to me.
His idiot personality can still do well, imo. Me, Myself and Irene was great. His Schizo personality was so damn entertaining to watch. Probably his best movie in the 00’s. That character is classic Carrey! Not this penguin/Yes Man bullshit. Bruce Almighty and Fun with Dick and Jane were low-tier because Carrey’s characters in those two films seemed so tame compared to his other characters.
I hope Dumb and Dumber To is really good, and that it sparks some more sequels from his movies in the 90’s. I’d love to see a new Ace Ventura. Shit, even new movies would work if Carrey’s character was written to be off-the-wall retarded like his earlier works.
Eternal Sunshine was, imo, the most entertaining movie Carrey has done in the 00’s next to Me, Myself and Irene. An interesting concept and just an overall really fun movie to watch.
It’s pretty damn GDLK. Some scenes are tattoo’d on my brain.

It already makes no sense to me… but it becomes such a profoundly dumb decision if a man happens to become quite wealthy. If one is only about 90% against the idea of getting married as a “regular” person… they should be 100000000000000% against it if they become successful to the point of being worth millions and billions of dollars. That’s terrible, man… even if you’re still a billionaire afterwards…you’d have to be pissed off if one day your fortune is cut by half or more.
Oh and the list at the bottom reminded me that Mel Gibson’s wife was another major one… that’s probably at least one of the reasons he has such notorious rage issues, where he sounds like he’s on the verge of cutting someone’s eyes out before setting them on fire…you just know there’s some left-over bitterness there.
