Okay, I fucking love this new forum software.
Before you guys wail on the disagree button, here’s why: there is a built-in spam feature that is fantastic. Click on your profile and look at it for a sec. See that bit that says “unverified” or “verified”? That’s part of the spam filter protection. Every time an “unverified” person posts a link that contains only images or an excessive number of flagged words, it removes that post automatically and puts it into a queue. A moderator reviews that post, and when they determine that it isn’t spam, they approve the post for viewing and then get an option to mark that user’s account as “verified,” which means that they won’t be flagged for spam anymore. Even so, people can still flag stuff for spam in case someone’s account gets hacked or something.
That’s really fucking cool, and saves mods a lot of time. I know Val and I personally put in a lot of hours when we were getting swarmed by bots.

So with these new features does that mean we can ‘disagree bomb’ posts and get users flagged? Or troll bomb?
I’ve seen some posts already get buried due people disagreeing or marking stuff as off-topic, but be careful with spamming the “troll,” “spam,” or “abuse” buttons, because they all go into a mod queue and since those are how you’ll be reporting posts now, it’s very much the same as abusing the report feature and I have NO doubt that some of the more trigger-happy mods will infract for it. ^^;
edit: ooooooh… they’re installing some of the plugins I suggested! I can see when posts have been edited now. Can you guys see it?
