Are you using items or doing a naked plague run?

If you have items use the thunder bombs and lob shot him in the air. Use Bursts to charge through him when he dashes you in the air.

If you’re naked then god help you.

Movement is key for any platformer. Movement makes and break platformers for me. If you can make the player character fun to control and build a world that offers the player a sandbox to push the limits of their their character’s abilities you made a good platformer.

ive been making a free running kind of platformer in my spare time. i should send you a movement demo some time.

I’m not as big on the Rayman games, tbh. They’re just “alright”.

I love the Metroid formula, though. I just am tired of the Metroidvania subset of having XP and gear/drop grinding and shit on top of all the collectibles.
