Has it been confirmed that you can train in any stage for SFV? Because as weird as it sounds, being forced to practice on that whack ass grid stage really is what killed my interest in SFIV

I get that, I get bored of any stage no matter how good it is, staring a stage full of nothing for hundreds of hours would be mind numbing.

I vaguely recall that I’ve met two white people named Darnell, actually. Of course, this is both anecdotal and relying on my crappy memory though, so I have no way of verifying that or having you believe me. Either way, I wasn’t saying that it’s terribly common to meet a non-black person named Darnell, just that it wasn’t the “blackest” name out there.
If we’re talking about the blackest name out there that sees a decent amount of use beyond just a couple of fools slapping D’ or La’ or Ke’ or Le’ or something akin to that to the front of their poor mistakes’ names, then look no further than another one I’m surprised to see no one mention: Denzel. That’s technically an English name too, though. Still, would you honestly believe anyone if they told you that they don’t think of a black guy automatically when it comes to that name due to Denzel Washington and that they’ve ever met or even heard of a non-black person named Denzel? At least meeting a Darnell that’s non-black is possible given I’ve never left the U.S.
Reaching for the stars, hahaha. A nice thought though. I think an instant replay option should definitely be in there. Not sure if that’s in the game, but if not that shoulda been thrown in. Or if you pick random stages and hit the replay, it’ll load a new stage each time without having to go to character select screen again. Trying to reduce the lag time on my salty runbacks.
I’m cool with that, it’s just that empty practice stage makes everything feel tedious for me.

Not quite sure. There is a training level, that you get dumped into in the beta (I get to skip that shit though), but you can pick whatever levels you want in the beta, including the training level, and pretty much train. It’s what I’m doing now (got damn, R Mika is FUN!).
@Raz0r I feel you about the spacing of pokes, though. I went in to try one of my Bison BnB’s, and it was like ‘nope’. You can’t land cLP, cLP, cLK anymore, which is somewhat odd (you could land 3cLP into cLK or even cMK). Bison seems like he moves fucking SLOW as fuck, though. I thought my pc was just slow at first, until I started doing moves and I was like ‘oh, that’s his actual walk speed now’.
Hell yea, been askin for that one for a while. It’s such a brain dead thing, why does like…only DOA4 do it?

Just noticed Karin and Rashid aren’t in this version, according to the site I’m reading, I can add them pretty easily though (I had to add Ryu, Chun Li, Nash, Birdie, and Bipson).

It’s fine. That’s accurate enough assessment of what I look like given how I post @odin, at least given how we all come to view each other over time regardless of what we actually look like anyway.
Getting back to name thing, bare in mind, I’ll also fully admit that I live in a rather atypical area of the U.S.–The Bay Area of California–and am a black guy who “acts white” and is a minority in at least two other senses. Thus my idea of what constitutes an “unusual” name is definitely somewhat skewed, especially since I actually know someone my age whose name is actually Aristotle and he’s black (technically).
