What ‘balances’ have you heard about so far? They’ve tweaked things here and there, as they should during a beta where they keep introducing new characters…But other than that, game seems pretty good and balanced somewhat (although Birdie shits all over Shoto’s if you play him well). And combofiend mentioned a lot of the ‘nerfs’ probably wont be around on release. Some of these nerfs don’t really matter. Like, you can’t use Bison SK pressure as much as you used to, but now he’s all about psycho shot/inferno pressure and proper footsies. So it’s hard to really argue it as a pure negative.
Fun fact: HK SK is safe on block right now. LOL
and yet you discuss it quite a bit…

Yeah, Pathfinder was overwhelming for ME and I have DMed 3.5 for a pretty long time. Pathfinder gives you free access to a LOT of builds. Most people playing 3.5 didn’t have that much info unless they were really hardcore.
Pick a concept to center your character around and keep things simple.
@angelpalm the group looks pretty large so far, what are we doing about this? Split it into two separate games? Also, where are we playing? Here, on JesusToast or Mythweavers?

Mostly just related to Ryu and then various characters’s having hitboxes that are completely at odds with visual elements, in most cases with regards to “pokes” being shorter than they “should” be. Ryu having such an extensive nerf list by itself is pretty galling, but when combined with how slow command grabs actually are and people mostly being at the same age on top of other issues…things aren’t looking good even if some of those nerfs are to be “reversed”, especially since other nerfs are inevitably going to “have” to be implemented given who Capcom seems to be listening to as far as changes go.
Only because it keeps coming up in here and even then I only tend to comment once or twice on it in relatively brevity (for me).
Feel free to call me out on any hypocrisy you see there though, especially if I bring it up myself later on.
I mean, it’s not like I hate the game or anything and I’m thus vaguely glad to know at least some people here are having genuine fun with it, but honestly the game is doing almost everything it came to make me personally less interested and thus far I don’t like any of the new original characters outside of maybe Rashid. It’s just not for me is all.

How vague lol.
Hitboxes and hurtboxes are something they’re actively working on. Yet again, this is a beta, not the final product. I’ve seen hilarious shit where Dhalsim whiffs from RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU in this current beta.
Command grabs are odd. They’re a bit slower, but also comboable.
Welp I already made a mythweavers forum so I am not sure why I would want to use another site where I wouldn’t be able to mod my own game lol.
I haven’t seen a single person including you even add their selfs to the game…they have to join mythweavers and then send request to play the game before they will be considered.
What kind of asshole game would let you ignore and beat meaties with command grabs, from your wakeup.
Essentially, invincible/“super armor”, ignore hitboxes, no startup, super ultra mcguyvver freeze, flowchart what happens if(function:P2 mash 720PPP+PPP)
make up your own rules, no we’re not doing that, change of plans mid match wrestling

Yeah, dr carl hart talks about that often. That contrary to popular belief, something like heroin withdrawal being potentially deadly is a myth, but alcohol withdrawal can actually kill you. The extent to which you need to be dependent on it for it to react in your body like that, im not sure. Have to do some googling and reup my knowledge on the subject.
I imagine people who die from alcohol withdrawal are like severe alcoholics, long in the making. Either way, its safer to ease off of it if youve been hammering it heavy for a few years. Your body gets use to functioning with it.
