Uhhhh, these nerfs were expected. When you make a scrubby game like SFV where pressure, throws, mixups, oki, and space control are neutered as not to offend scrub sensibilities the end result is a roster of characters who get the majority of their damage from doing the same thing. When that happens, the only way to balance roster representation is through nerfs. If one character does the same thing as everyone else but also happens to have the strongest mixup in the game then you take that outstanding option away, otherwise that makes the characters better than everyone else in the game. If an outstanding option cannot be reasonably removed then you lower the overall damage of the game so such an option doesn’t seem that strong in the situations it can be used.

FOX just reminded us that they made a sequel to Independence Day.
Preview was alright, but it looks like something SyFy would make, if they had a large budget

i’ve been waiting 10 years for this. IDGAF how cheesy this shit was and is back in the day or is today.
(Here’s a multi-quote post before I leave for the day.)
Also, are we back on this grammar bullshit? Really? Really? Raz0r really has infected you and I say this as someone who is otherwise the most pedantic person here.
Also also, do you have any opinions on Exalted, @angelpalm? I’m just curious since you’re talking about tabletop stuff and I was reminded that it existed.
looks at “You Gonna Die” Trope checklist and sees that both “black(ish) guy” and “in Sci-Fi movie” are checked off in this regard
Seems legit.
You could say that about too many recent Hollywood sci-fiction movies though, including Jurassic World.
I concur since basically the only way to achieve “balance” in that case is to make everyone essentially the same character, only with different visuals. It’s arguably a legitimate way to balance things, but at the same time it’s lazy and boring. So I’m not surprised. I just didn’t expect that much to be nerfed already.
I won’t lie. That ID2 trailer made me raise my eyebrow with curiosity.
I mean yes it’ll probably suck, but holy shit that mothership is huge.
Hope it has better network security than the last one.
bruh…just go straight cleric and get extend spell, persist spell, and divine metamagic: persist spell. There, you just won the game…

I wanted to make Sentinel in a D&D setting. It was kind of a long joke with this weird background but what I wanted him to do was going to be legit. He’d be a Warforged Artificer/Monk that would upgrade his body to give himself random shit. the idea being that in the long run, he’d end up with all the shit that MvC2 Sentinel had.
Frying pan as a weapon easy enough to solve. Spit, fast fly, stomp from flight, and rocket punch would all be a bit trickier. I did some work looking into it but I’m terrible at finding the specifics for it.
Hrm…not sure about pathfinder but then again they have some nice 3rd party stuff that might work…
That being said pathfinder actually does have robots in it…probably just have to establish what levels it’s cr actually equals out to.

@“The Damned” never tried it but i think i heard it was legit

$500 a month to live in a crawlspace in San Francisco.
"We aren't going to sugar coat this, as you can see by the photos, this is a basement crawl space and the ground is un-even. My roommate Neil has agreed to help out and level off the dirt crawl floor and we have some scraps of rug to throw down....

Who here has seen Full Metal Jacket?
I can imagine how much recruitment for the U.S. Marine Corps has changed since the Vietnam war era.
It is darkly humorous and also serious. This story is about the transformation of a group of U.S. Marine recruits and the eventual deployment they endure while in Vietnam; it is an unforgiving process all throughout.
- At the end, the infantry squad have a situation with an enemy sniper as they try to take an area and everything halts to a slow and deadly outcome as they get filled with desperation. Finally the troops engage by making their way into the sniper’s building and kill the lone shooter who is a Vietnamese girl with an AK-47 assault rifle. This child, a girl, fucked up the troops from her hidden position in the window of a ruined building not using a sniper weapon. This part of the film brings out its strong thematic views of the United States and the military.
If you were interested or have heard about Full Metal Jacket, I recommend highly that you watch it.
Felt bad for Private Pyle.

I just saw this sponsored content on Yahoo for a list of “You were an 80s kid if…”
Look. I was born in 1982. I was alive from that point to 1990. I do not need a list to tell me if I was a kid in the 80s, because I know I was. Your ass was either there, or it wasn’t. Fuck your list, asshole.
I may actually end up going to bed angry now because of this.

If you were born on December 31st, 1989, at 11:59pm, yeah you’re an 80’s kid, but would you recognize anything from the 80’s without those helpful youtube videos?
I know because I spent days after school trying to master E.T. on Atari because I was the only kid on Earth badass enough to even try.
And I did it with a Power Glove, too.
