Yeah, that bit about rubbing the waitress’s ass is just weird. That’s molestation plain and simple, the way you describe it. I dunno how you thought that was okay.
The SFV beta was meh. I see where they’re moving the game to and I don’t agree. It was quite boring to play and the online was just a rollback nightmare. I guess if I’m better able to choose WHO I’m going to play it’ll improve. GGPO has always been my least favorite option for online gaming so there’s that. I hate–HATE–when I’m doing a combo but the game rolls back and shows me actually eating shit. For all the hatred Ultra gets about its online gameplay, I still prefer the game to slow down rather than taking me back in time.
When they released all the other characters I was excited to see changes, if any, in how they play. I was severely underwhelmed. It felt very much like they took pains to make everyone’s normals almost exactly the same. I played lots of Ken and I couldn’t tell much of a difference with his c. short and c. forward. Shit, his c. forward actually TOUCHES the other character’s foot but it doesn’t register a hit. Why? To make pokes universally the same? That’s bullshit and a lazy way to balance a game.
I’ll see what the third beta offers but I doubt it’ll change my impressions of the game. Maybe one of its future iterations will make SFV a lot more interesting for me but for now I’d rather just not play it.
It’s a never-ending source of material since that’s what ghetto-queens are all about…it’s fun to watch and laugh at…also fun to look down on them as they prove each day that they are trash.
Oddly enough, I’m thankful for growing up in an environment that featured such “characters”… if I had been more sheltered, it would have resulted in me having some lofty and unrealistic expectations of women and the human race in general.
