Then again, I rarely go out to eat and I don’t think there’s been any near me for more than a decade as the closest, I think, is still the one near Fisherman’s Wharf in SF.

Oh, hey. This is near where I live and fits with what I’ve been hearing the past two or three years about the prices around that side of the lake going up significantly. I didn’t realize they were increasing so sharply, but I figured at the very least that something…underhanded was doubtless at least partially involved just due to how America and capitalism works and cynicism on that end unfortunately being well-founded. Such practices are total bullshit obviously, but of course no one has done anything meaningful about it, as evidenced by the fact that it hasn’t been in the local news at all and presumably the same problem still exists four months later, especially with as long as legal proceedings can drag.
I’m surprised no one’s just tried to kill the guy honestly, especially since even the sloppiest of impassioned assassination attempts would probably have (far) more success than expecting most people in government to do anything that wasn’t immediately utterly self-serving no matter how ultimately self-destructive it is.

KoF XIII pretty much died in Florida this year. Ran a side tournament for it at CEO, every player in the state showed up, fucking 16 entrants.
Shit hurts me to my heart that nobody has actively played the game in my state for almost a year.

No. In general, the answer is probably going to be “no” for everyone else too. To further what DarkGeneral said, SNK dropped the ball super hard on KOF XIII’s online capability. When combined with the American infrastructure problems I was semi-scolding Phantom Angel about just last page…yeah.
It’s a shame too since as much as I hate Custom Combos, which is basically what HD Combos are, and even though never got to actually play it, KOF XIII seemed like a more than decent game for the most part that never really got much attention as it should have, at least in the U.S. where SNK games just can’t catch on for some reason even when they’re good. I can’t say I was a fan of the DLC model, but KOF XIII is unfortunately hardly the only game guilty of that.
(I still think KOF XI’s style would have enabled to SNK to “break” into the States if they had promoted it more. Well, that and if Gato hadn’t been basically the god of gods in that game with his almost Ivan Ooze levels of bullshit followed rather closely by Oswald’s 80% health combos and Kula being queen of safe pressure.)

So I decided to try SF V one more time and saw that they added everyone to it now. Naturally I picked Ryu to test mIRC’s theory about this game being all rushdown and my first fight was against that generic Necalli dude.
This nigga’s regular special move just blows through ryu’s fireballs, not even an ex version, just the regular version ignores them. It literally goes straight through them and knocks the shit out of you…from damn near full screen.
wtf at beta stanning so fucking hard for that wack ass game lol. Showing me a bunch of characters looking like they are larping while screaming fireball as goofy as fuck monsters just sit there and get hit while writhing in pain.
Ken’s damage output is rather underwhelming compared to other characters who’re nearing ST levels of damage. Necalli’s special moves and his movement looks clunky, esp. that stomp which resembles a special normal.
