I would have thought that the thirty previous warnings given to get people to stop abusing the spam flag would have been sufficient. Clearly I underestimated some people’s determination to be idiots.
Yeah I don’t know if I agree with the dude getting banned. Didn’t look like he did anything some of you turds never did in some threads. Hell the thread contents at the end didn’t look any different than any shit I’ve seen / done in other threads. All the lengthy posts I’ve made with the insults and smart-assery I’m almost insulted that someone never ratted on me and got me banned. And I blame everyone else for that stain on my résumé.
I think some of you are in university and needed a professor to protect you from the bad words.

Good to know… ? This was specific follow-up to previous conversations about “do not abuse the spam flags: you will be given a one week ban without warning if you choose to do so”. Warnings were then given because I’m usually pretty nice. They kept at it, and there’s the one week ban they were promised. That’s it, that’s all. If you want to read more into it, you’re just wrong.
You could just say he was banned for using the spam flag. I know that rule. I’m just not going to assume that was the case when I see someone banned and another person saying he got a mod to do it without saying why. First inclination is not going to be “oh shit I bet he clicked the wrong reaction button oh shit”.
Maybe it’s my mistake for not checking his profile page to see that it was spam flag related. But still.

While I agree, I do find it saddening that it’s the SAME few trolls getting away with this shit all the time. It’s easy for one or two of us to have them on ignore or block, but not everybody does, and when you suddenly have a mad amount of newer posters debating or hurt by those same few trolls, it destroys threads. We have the Current State of the World thread to kinda keep all those losers in one place, but every so often, they wander around like the idiots that they are, and stumble upon good conversations and just ruin them.
