The issue here is that there is such disparity between the healthcare needs of the public and practitioners. The demand for health professionals is high and the supply is low, which means doctors are pretty much guaranteed money makers for companies.
And as long as this doctor is making more money for the company than she’s losing it’s doubtful the company is going to do anything.
The demand for healthcare professionals is so high many places have waiting lists that go back several months. I haven’t even gotten my PhD yet and I’ve already had hospital recruiters trying to get me to sign on.
My advice…don’t fuck with doctors. The company will do whatever it takes to keep them happy.
