So I wrote a check for rent back in november, and in the written amount I left out the word “hundred”, so it read “One thousand twenty dollars”. The bank cashed the check for 1020, instead of 1120 (which is what I wrote in the numerical amount). SO! I shorted them 100 bucks on rent on accident. Totally my fault. However, I was never made aware of this. Never got a call, never got a note tagged on my door. Nothing.

Today I come home and there is a note saying that I owe them $484 dollars. When I called to ask why they explained that on top of the original 100 that was missing in November, it has been gaining late charges. Every day. Since November. Nobody had told me anything about this.
