Isn’t there a new Spawn series in the works? I hope it comes to fruition, because he’s a really cool character.
Unless it’s 1997 again, or Todd McFarlane can actually manage to come through with his boasts and provide proof, I don’t see how Spawn is currently relevant at the moment.
Unless I missed the new trailer for the multi-million dollar spawn movie that’s coming out this year, or Spawn is apparently the #1 comic in the US now.

I get the feeling Spawn could be a solo DLC character, done for free. No way does Todd McFarlane give you permission to throw his ass in your game, and you just skip over that tidbit of awesome.
Maybe in the states. My jamaican boys wouldn’t know a country song if you hired Honky Tonk Man to smash a guitar over their head every time they admitted to not knowing one. It’s nothing but rap, reggae, and occasional techno.

Todd publicly stated that he wanted Boon to use him, Boon has teased him several times, as well as the other characters who have ALL BEEN CON-FUCKING-FIRMED. Even Carl Weather’s got in on the fucking action.
Hell, look at the sketch he did for the DLC character mocap that’s going on. Wanna bet that will be Spawn, probably?

sheeeit, I’m watching someone stream Mario Kart, and it’s reminding me of the good times I had with Modnation Racers a few years ago… then I’m also remembering now all the disgusting creations I made and saw from other people in that game… haha, racing around as a bloody maxipad character, driving a shit-themed vehicle like “Skid Mach” or “Bookey Bus”…racing online against people using characters like Obama and Homer Simpson, Vegeta, the Prophet Muhammad, etc…the MUGEN of racers, it was…heh, good times, man.
*interesting-- you can be Metal Mario in there… nice.
…but yeah, it’s a damn shame that franchise will most likely never continue. No other kart racer could even come close to giving me that level of entertainment value. In addition to the unlimited cast of politically incorrect, wonderfully offensive, disgusting characters limited only by the player’s imagination… it was fun to play as well, with great on-the-fly strategy to think about at all times while you’re racing (management of your boost energy for the shield or boost, defensive driving, drafting, drifting, sideswipe attacks, etc.)… so much good stuff that many gamers missed out on there.
oh yeah…the link to my characters in the signature still works… The Colonel driving a KFC car, Noid driving a Domino’s pizza van, and everything fro Mr. Popo to a psycho teletubby and Cobra Commander… the possibilities of character and car creation in that game are insane.
