Erdely is also a freelance journalist. None of these places employ her so much as buy her stories. That said, she’s received a Worst Journalism Award from Columbia Journalism School over her UVA story. The world of reporters is pretty small so this one is going to stick. Next story she writes better be damn compelling and thoroughly researched because everyone will go over it with a fine-toothed comb.
That type of thinking is what got Erdely and Rolling Stone in this predicament. They threw out basic journalism rules to comfort the victim but that is not a reporter’s job. A reporter has to keep a hard-lined neutral view. I understand reporters are only human but they have to try their hardest to keep this rule in place.
Jessica Testa, a reporter over at BuzzFeed, points out that it’s the feminist view of always believing the victim that helped cause this shit show, along with the Columbia Journalism School’s finding that every day journalism steps were not completed.

I wouldn’t call SF4’s DPs YOLO for shit. You can cancel them out to safety, if you connect you can cancel into ultra, if you trade you can still combo in an ultra. One thing I’ve learned in SF4 is that if you sometimes don’t take the risk and do a dumb DP you’re going to give up a lot of opportunities where you can win.
Going to spend today playing either Dark Souls II: SOTFS, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons or the BioShock Infinite “Burial at Sea” DLC’s which look more interesting to me than the main game of Infinite. Original BioShock > all sequels, imo.

I used to roll with “tenebrae” mod back in the day. It makes the game look about on par with DOOM 3 but it doesn’t have the texture detail Dark Places does:

All of these mods bring the raw texture detail of these games up to a point where they look better than a huge majority of PS3/360-era games. It’s hard to find really high quality pics of these mods though, but the Dark Places pic represents it pretty well.
Quake 1 is as timeless as DOOM imo. Love that game.

I don’t mind this, but this one is a pretty big oops. She’s written tons of feature stories, many for Rolling Stone, where due diligence was met. As for the dps, him getting away with them has a lot to do with with sf4 as a game: you can do them but there are lots of ways of blowing them up. This blow up is similar to the daigo/ricky finals for evo 2010. Daigo went out of his way to shut a lot of rufus’s offense with them dps. Takes some balls to go full iron fist on a dude though.

As im reading the npr article, basically the gist of it is, we heard this white girls story of rape, and decided that false rape claims happen less often then people think (even though there isnt a real solid percentage number on that to my knowledge, but its definitely not as low as some say it is), and she seemed so genuine, so we went with her story, and thats it. There is no way this poor white girl cried rape, and it wasnt true.
Dont try to admit your wrongs, and then curve that shit with, well we still have to address sexual assault on campuses, that you FEEL havent been addressed properly, because i doubt you have done extensive research on how poorly or well thousands of universities all over the country handle sexual assault.
GUESS WHAT BUDDY. The issue still remains, and is an important one, which men and women alike have not yet addressed adequately, of FALSE RAPE CLAIMS. See what i did there? Women have been able to get away with murder when it comes to false claims of abuse and or rape for decades, no questions ask. We see now, men coming out of prison for being wrongly accused decades ago of rape by the fucking accusers themselves, not just police planting evidence of some shit, and they get nothing. No retribution of any sort, financially or jail time by the false accuser.
