It helps for me if I picture the plot of MK like how Space Dandy works. Every game is it’s own thing. What happened in the last game kinda happened, and everybody in the series knows it, but it didn’t really count for some reason and they just ignore it.
Only 5 people die in MKX. 2 of them are NPCs, one of them is technically immortal and the final might have escaped. Unlikely though.
Is Shinnok the big bad, or is there somebody else? Any new sub boss, similar to Goro, Kintaro, or Motaro?
Shinnok is the big bad, but his demon form is the true final boss. Goro is sub boss, which means he’s on disk dlc 
Shinnok is final boss of arcade mode, Goro is sub boss.
Is it the same fight as it was in Mythologies? Just run away through portal to win game?
