I missed out on EVA when it was first being hyped over here in the states
one night I found the entire series on YT subbed (the channel is long gone now 
) watched it straight through over the course of like 3 days i had off from work. it was absolutely amazing.
then I watched EoE and the whole thing was soured now im bitter about the series as a whole (though i did like rebuild 2.2)
