I had an idea for some kind of educational Kinect game like this, but I’m glad someone’s actually doing it. I would get a Kinect for this. I hope they do a reenactment of the pagoda scene from Game of Death.

Daylight sky, some clouds. The backpack suggest he may have been recently leaving class, and the pose suggests on top of a building of sorts.
im just adding the flats at the moment…the basic colors for the backpack/and his clothes. once i figure out what i wanna do with the background/floor i can start deciding on shadows and lightsource.
ill probably do sumtin like that maybe a blurred building like background. i wish i knew what issue this was from to see what they decided to do as a final piece. i know this is ultimate spider-man because of the backpack aka dominican spidey…he carries that thing everywhere not just school.

background is gonna be by mouse lol. i never use premade backgrounds…everything is made by me.
Personally, I think you should keep the background monochromatic, letting the red be the accent. Maybe throw in splashes of red around the background, but, not too much to distract you from Spidey, since he is the focal point.
Are you doing the background by hand or looking around for a possible background to use?
I would say a low saturated olive green to compliment the red in spidey and if you lower the saturation enough will help him pop out and won’t be distracting.
