i got a better explanation than the one i gave SWBeta on why i don’t like J-Guitarists. same reason why i don’t like guitarists i jam with. i figured it out when i was playing guitar with my neighbor. it’s kind of abstract, but you play music, you might understand what i’m talking about. when you learn your instrument, you mimic your favorite bands. you copy riffs as practice. the riffs you try to perfect bleed into your subconscious and your original riffs start sounding like them. everybody i’ve jammed with has this bluesy/country twanginess to their riffage. their “accent,” if you will. doesn’t matter what kind of riff they make up, dat subconscious + dat muscle memory gives them away every time. i refused to do that in my practice. as an effect, i’m completely inferior to everybody i’ve ever jammed with (even some 3rd year guitarists). i’ll never make a solo off the top of my head that won’t sound like jalapeno diarrhea- but, kind of like how old bitchs like listening to my speech patterns, guitarists like to jam with me because i sound different (at least that’s what they tell me…) President Romney shrug
Japan has some weird accent like almost all of them listened and learned from the exact same songs their entire lives. it repulses my synesthesia (if i have it… all i know is something is getting repulsed). i remember reading about someone (i think it was AZ) getting his English corrected by a Japanese person. that kind of feeling i imagine him feeling is the same as me when i listen to J-Rock. semi-conversely, i love Tsuneo Imahori. he is probably the best guitarist to ever come out of Japan. he makes some of the most interesting compositions i’ve ever heard, and even he is still susceptible to his Japanese accent sometimes.
tl:dr: listening to J-music = ordering soul food in a Chinese buffet. might taste good, but it ain’t soul food.
in other news the goofball that made the Four Loko metal remix is now the main song creator of probably the 2nd most (rhythmically) technical bands on the planet. i’m so pumped 
can’t wait for the 20th. this could be the last album i ever buy in a brick and mortar store. if they don’t have it in stock, i’m a pirate for the rest of my life.

I’ll just be glad when the goddamn election is over. Politics is one general topic that seems to consistently bring out the worst in people. I’m already sure this will last for quite awhile, because it will be close… and of course whichever side loses will bring up all kinds of accusations of fraud and cheating. Also, race relations (between whites and blacks specifically) will be even more strained and awkward than they already were previously… with everyone assuming that 100% of black people voted for Obama, and blacks assuming that 100% of whites voted for Romney, and nearly all blacks assuming that any of their own that voted for Romney or didn’t vote at all is an “Uncle Tom”/house nigga, of course (because we’re not supposed to have an individual opinion and thought-process, y’know… it’s in The Rule Book™…part of the Prime Directive of our great Hivemind collective.), yadda yadda. Also, there’s a good chance for some rioting.
The sooner the hostile aliens show up and destroy this pathetic species, the better. Oh and that is definitely a moment to be a real traitor. I’d be safely on one of their ships…watching the extermination with a shameless smile on my face.
