Veterans’ Day is there so the Federal Government can say it did its part, whilst it writes off the very same homeless vets whom we see on the street, nearly every day.
To think they aren’t victims is silly.

You’d never hear me say that the US government stoops to the same level of propaganda that North Korea stoops to, that would be fallacy.
But to say we don’t use the same tactics in a lesser form would be. But I’m pretty sure most every government pulls off the same, in the name of nationalism and national pride.
Not saying that it’s a good thing in either sense, mind you, but it’s definitely there.

In some spots it is painful to read (issue 2 especially)
but once the series gets going and you start to see what frank miller is doing it really started to shine. the problem is that it ended right as it got good. issue 10 was fantastic, batman is internally monologuing like DKR batman…
and then nothing. its like battle chasers all over again 
Oh, Frank definitely fell off. But half the fun is in trying to figure out what hypothetical reader he thinks he’s writing for nowadays. Such a person would have to have at least a mild form of psychosis.
