For the Nexus S, it’s press and hold POWER+VOL DOWN. Also, you have to press and hold them simultaneously, not something like press Vol. Down while holding Power first (like I was accustomed to on an iOS device) or Vice-Versa. I couldn’t get it to work at first, since most instructions on the internet would simply mention the button combination but not the crucial part of pressing them simultaneously.
