It really shouldn’t matter. You’ve got an integrated video chipset which is fine. If you want to buy something better Nvidia and ATI are relatively comparative, but ATI is generally a bit more cost-effective, as in you get a bit more for your money (Or rather, ATI is able to do a bit more with less. Whichever). For now, download a driver scan program from S3 and it will tell you what the best driver is for you chipset.
Weird. Make sure it’s really installed. The flash site has a version checker. See it’s working and what version you’re running and If it works there, then it’s installed and something is making that site (or making it look like it’s the site) believe you’re not running Flash. If it’s not there, then you’re probably using HTML5 to view Youtube videos, which is fine too. :tup:

Hmmm…I’m pretty sure that cleaning up the bathroom and the computer a bit counts as “work”, so I’ll handle downloading all this driver stuff once I return from my walk.
After screwing with this for the past hour, I got it to finally tell me that apparently 17 of my drivers are outdated, including the video one. I’ll have to download them manually, though, given that I don’t want to register for anything on that site.
Again, it took me about an hour of screwing around with Adobe’s “troubleshooting” to finally realize that the problem, at least with regards to Adobe.com thinking I didn’t have Flash Player, was being caused by No Script blocking it. That’s probably what screwed up Twitch.TV too since No Script defaults to “YOU SHALL NOT PASS!” on everything.
I’m definitely not using HTML5 either.
Annoyingly, turning off that Realplayer thing that’s supposedly been the #1 source of people’s problems with the latest Flash didn’t do anything for me. I should turn back on before I forget…

Thinking about getting Netflix for
a month. Want to watch Immortals, Captain America, Drive (again), and one or two others. They upped their game since I left in June.
immortals is only cheesy good…it tried to be 300…with a budget lol. i think cap is ok at best personally.
Cap was solid (infinitely better than Thor).
Netflix does have hella good movies though. On the TV side they have a bunch of Dr. Who, all of Star Trek, OG Beast Wars, OG X-men, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes season 1. Netflix is still super solid.
Too bad at the loss of Sony. Lack of Zoot Suit makes me sad.
