What is going on with your Firefox installation? Are you trying to use it as something other than a standard browser? I.E. is much better suited towards that, in my opinion.

You can create your own list of rules for filters in IE… but WAYYYYYYY too much trouble…
That filter list required a monumental amount of work(Adblock)…
You can banish scripts that don’t anything for you on pages(Syndication, Analytics and all that good shit) and noscript addon updates because people are looking for work arounds for this thing…
