- Insomnia fucking sucks. I couldn’t sleep Saturday night, slept for ten hours Sunday night, and now I can’t sleep again. I have to work in the morning. Argh.
- Cat poop causing bacteria that raises suicidal tendencies is ironic, as I love my two cats and would be in much worse shape mentally without them.
- The SCP Foundation files are fucking crack, especially if you’re a fan of creepy shit, paranormal studies, or just fantastically designed stories about weird items. I’d link them, but as I just spent the past five hours reading them I can’t do so with a good conscience. SCP-682 (and the unsuccessful tests of destroying it) are particularly interesting.

All this talk about rape and pregnancies makes me a little sad, because while I recognize a woman’s choice, I can’t help but think of a girl I know who is turning 16 this year that’s the closest thing I’ve ever had to a daughter. She was born out of a rape where her mother was assaulted and raped by a group of men, and her mother decided to carry the child. I was involved with her mother when the girl was still a baby, and I’ve still remained close to the both of them over the years, which has been a very fulfilling experience for me. I even got to give her first boyfriend the “I have a shotgun and I won’t hesitate to use if you touch her” speech, which was a friggin’ hoot.
Like I said though, I recognize that I don’t have a choice in the matter; it just really bothers me when people act like rape babies are abominations that won’t be loved.
(I am again reminded of how I loathe what has basically become the “rape” of the word “epic”.)
Ugh. Motherfucker. The list I did cataloging my history books got deleted when this stupid thing decided to auto-reset for an update on Saturday, meaning that I have to do like 100 books over again. Oh well, at least most of them are in plain sight. I’m currently just making a list of all the ones that are on my closet shelves anyway.
Of course, now that I think about it, given the sheer lengthy of some of them, like this A History of Japan, I’m not entirely sure where the hard and fast line between “textbook” and “book” actually is. Is it only a textbook if it prompts some type of “exercise”, even if it’s only a “thought exercise”, at the end of each chapter? [/not entirely rhetorical]

SCP stuff is kinda meh, at least in most entries as Stabby and I agreed upon. I at least find even some of the mediocre ones interesting from a sheer fiction analysis standpoint though; not sure if Stabby felt the same way, but I kinda doubt it.
A select few are quite good and disturbingly creepy though, like the Ghost Ship…

heh heh, I have seen a person in the system at work that has the last name “Rape”. I think that tests how devoted some people are to keeping a tradition/family name… wouldn’t one at least consider changing the family name if it’s something like that? I’ve seen a person with the last name “Faggett”… there’s no way I’d keep a family name like that either.
