Ah that’s super interesting. For Judo they break it down into into Hip Throws, Arm throws, Sacrifice throws, or Foot techniques. And its exactly how you would expect for the most part, if your hip is the main thing you’re using than it becomes a ‘hip throw’. Since most of the waza are considered throws they typically define them in the name rather than distinguish between say Hip toss vs Hip Throw.
There are a few throws that seem more like foot techniques but are actually arm throws, like the body drop throw (Tai-O-Toshi)
But that throw she did they call a sacrifice throw since you have to roll on your back and during a fight the last thing you wanna do is roll backwards onto your back unless you’re taking out your opponent or gaining a very positive position.
There’s so many throws i have learned thanks to the guys that come in and catch pretty much takes all the throws.
Double overhook throws are my go to and body lock tosses.
