SRK Lounge: More like turned on by Lesbian Seagulls

Welp, I’m gonna be a cashier at Kroger’s.

If you use the bar of soap to just lather up a wash cloth like you’re suppose to, I don’t see what the problem is. You probably see it as nasty because you just be dragging it between your cheeks like Nelly dragged that card between that chick’s cheeks in the Tip Drill music vid.

I’m sorry but…how old are you? That’s like a job for a HS sophomore.

Is this gonna be your second job?

Edit: wtf Why did Columbia just tie us!!?? Fuck

At the risk of this turning into the relationship thread:

I would say that it did play SOME role but after reflecting on the relationship with her I can see that it would have never worked out cause she wants the world without any of the hard-times and she was controlling as fuck so it’s nice to get away from that. I was always the one that had to bend over backwards for a girl that majority of people here wouldn’t touch and never supported anything I wanted to do outside of get a high paying FT job.

The girl I’m dating now is the complete opposite and it’s really strange having to get used to somebody who isn’t “dumb.”

The size of the universe and all the mysteries about it… this is something that is fascinating but ultimately depressing at times…because we more than likely won’t discover much more significant information about these things. More than likely, the human race will eventually go extinct before we even get close to perfecting interstellar travel. Imagine how many other sophisticated species out there are in the same scenario… often wondering about who/what else is out there that is similar to them. There’s probably countless examples of worlds with advanced life on them…but it is probably unlikely that any of them will find out about each other. We may be “Species #49” on a long list of dominant life forms of their respective worlds…but few if any of them will advance to the point of frequently traveling to other worlds, setting up new home planets, colonizing other parts of galaxies for their continued existence, etc. I’d bet money that most species end up going extinct before they reach that point, sadly…either by their own actions, or some natural disaster that kills everything…like an asteroid the size of a large continent.

…and that’s another thing— it doesn’t even take that much to destroy a species like us. I haven’t looked up the specific info on this, but if something the size of Texas or Alaska were to hit this planet… then that’s most likely “Game Over, man…” (like Bill Paxton says) right there. Just like that…the story of the human race would be at an abrupt end…and we’ve only been here a relatively short time (our species is apparently a couple of hundred thousand years old at the most, apparently.)

…but the thing that would be even more depressing is if we were REALLY the only advanced lifeform in the universe. That would be… pathetic.

Real talk, I’m glad you were able to see the wrong in your previous situation and find a better girl.

This is why i like million.

In my neck of the woods in tx, kroger employees are unionized. Just dont set up cams in the womens bathroom bruv

Quoted for truth.

not-edit: Didn’t see the over 50k part 'till late. Anything less than 60k for grocery lower-management is messed up.

real-edit: I was talking to a manager from another store a few months ago and she was barely making over 30k as a manager. I wanted to give her a hug, and tell her to hang in there.

If you met Raz0r at EVO hope you didnt shake his hand. End up with the ole stink palm.

“Would you like a chocolate pretzel?”

Definitely. A promotion looks likely to happen in my future for the first time. I mean, as with most jobs, the company you work for makes all the difference. The guys that run these stores clear 100k, though. The grunts like myself get about 10k in bonuses a year. Granted, my OT took a hit this year since MA jacked up the minimum wage, but I’ll do all right.

Researching the characters I’m not familiar with in Suicide Squad before I watch it.

:blah:

@tekno virus, have you considered moving out of state to get an engineering job? man, this is a depressing situation

I think the real eye-opening thing is that a girl who has known me for all of 3 or so moths is more supportive of me going to school and learning shit/ transferring to a university than a girl who was with me for 2 years.

You’re like 2 and half years late.

I think Wiz made that change to the LOL reaction back in December of 2013. It might have been early 2014 though, IDR ATM.

That all adds up, to me. When you’re with the wrong girl, time only makes it more apparent. That’s not to say you’re not with the right one now, though. Sounds like you two are off to a good start

@“Tekno Virus” After being a shelf stocker at Kroger for like 2 months, nothing is more mind-numbing than straightening out the shelves for 3 hours every night. Yeah, job was so boring I had to quit if I was going to deal with your typical power-trip minimum wage bosses. So after your regular duties of inventory and regular shelf-stocking (no real problems there tbh) you have to go through every single item and make sure they aren’t crooked. No headphones or any of that unless you are midnight shelf-stocker. Every Kroger is probably different but Cashiers didn’t have to clean the toilets or any of that shit. Just sit at the cash register even during slow hours.

tl;dr: Kroger sucks in general. Part-time sucks ass and I don’t think that they have ever given new guys full-time hours. Now I’m an exclusive VIP member at Costco :coffee:

that was the point, though. they were in love.

i’d fight a T-Rex and have airplanes kill me for Naomi Watts. matter of fact, they’d have to get airplanes to take me down if i got hold of her. keep crying.

Speaking of Costco, they would be a better option than that grocery store. Alright pay, good benefits. But can be difficult to get accepted.

Anyone know a company that needs to have organizational leadership training?

Sunday Bundays be like
