Other than a junkyard, how the fuck does one go about procuring more superficial replacement parts? My driver’s side interior panel cracked a while back to a point where I have to grip the door edge to close it from the inside (else rip off the panel entirely), but lookin’ around on the net proved pretty futile considering that they all seem more interested in the parts that make the car operate than items like this.

Been around auto parts stores, but that’s really all they carry, the parts to keep the shit running. Well, that, and exterior shit. Interior stops at shit like the rearview mirrors, and MAYBE power window switches. They suggested a junkyard.
The dealership was a thought, but fuck they gouge the shit out of you for anything. My wife’s car is in need of a new shifter cap. This is just a piece of plastic and a button that actually pushes down the lock to shift the automatic transmission. $110.
Auto trader doesn’t seem to have much of anything outside the actual cars.

so i’m watching the news right now and there’s a segment on the decline of people reading books which is something we’ve all known for a while, but they also mention an increase in people interested in graphic novels and comics. in my town alone i’ve seen 3 new comic book stores open in the span of 3 years… is this the case in America also?

I don’t know that I’ve seen a growth in comic book stores, but I did hear Art Spiegelman say in an interview that the only two segments of the publishing industry that are experiencing across-the-board growth in sales are inspirational literature and comics. Everything else is declining.
I haven’t verified that elsewhere. Like I said, that’s one guy in an interview, albeit someone who would probably know.
