SRK Lounge: If they made a movie about GD, I'd get Jonah Hill to play RockB

Too bad there is no way to actually put hydraulics in the death star; or at least give it the effect of bouncing up and down because of that whole no gravity thing getting in the way.

lol. its all bout that mr.burns vs romney quote quiz lol.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Dude ruined that car.

I can’t find the exact name of it, but I know it’s an ASUS-something and that it supports PCI-E. I did start --> run dxdiag and opened up CCleaner to find out the exact name of the mobo but no luck. I can find the exact name on startup if ya need me to, though. It’s circa 1 decade ago, lol.

I need a new video card too since I’m using a 256MB card, but I’m gonna nab a 512 off my cousin as soon as I can. He has one just sitting in his closet, meanwhile his current rig has dual 1GB video cards. My heart sank when the Diablo III open beta was live and during the installation, it literally told me my processor and video card were garbage and that I couldn’t play.

What resolution you running at? As far Diablo III telling you your processor is hot garbage, you’ll want to looking into something from the 5 series of nVidia GPUs, like a GTX 560 and up. That’s gonna cost you around 3 bills, though. Your price also depends on how nice you want to run your games, as far as graphics/textures/resolution. If you’re wanting to run nice at 1920x1080 resolution (that’s 1080p HD), you’ll want something that’s got 1GB VRAM, as that’s standard, nowadays. If you right-click on My Computer, and select properties, tell us what processor you’re running.

That, or download and run Speccy

The amount of video memory on board means nothing. The type of memory and the bandwidth, speed and over all architecture of the GPU is what matters.

You’re looking for a 6670 GDDR3 or better on the AMD side, or a GT 440 GDDR5 or better on the Nvidia side to play modern games normally. Stepping up the AMD card to a 6670 GDDR5 or a 6770 or better will net you a card with GDDR5 which is much faster. Geforces are outclassed by AMD at this price point, but they do have cards available that will perform similarly (you probably won’t even notice a difference) if that’s what you’re into.

These cards will perform similarly, with the more expensive ones obviously performing slightly better than the cheaper ones. Each of those cards are available in at least 512MB, which is more than sufficient.

Flirting/hitting on a taken girl I used to go out with.

I feel like such a slimy douchebag

damn that is nice, like a moving tattoo. I love car art, clean cars are boring. I forgot the name but there was a jap artist who did up a ferrari using only sharpies

So stop.

Or go for it. Whatever.

Just don’t come on here and make attention-seeking posts about it, as if you have no self-control.

(Shiva Christ, I am fucking lazy. Also, why the hell am I so tired after only 12 hours? Ugh.)

Despite the fact that I should already be on hiatus, I just have to say that the increasing talk of politics in this thread–as tends to happen from time to time–seems like the best time to “duck out” considering. We all know that modern (American) politics is full of bullshit, so I’m honestly not sure what needs to be discussed unless we’re just going to talk about how absurd it is. Even that, though, seems like masochistic exercise in pissing yourself off.

Too many people.

I’m semi-glad that I finally have to start doing shit (or failing) today and that I’ll probably be too fucking tired to even turn on the TV, much less the Internet, by time I get home tomorrow since I’m not going to bed tonight/today. I just know that North Carolina is going to prove itself utterly bigoted as always.

“Oh well” and having no faith in humanity only go so far as shields of apathy before even I start getting genuinely pissed or depressed (rather than just that constant level of annoyance I have).

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Good one.

I’m not worried about playing modern games on my PC, I got my PS3 for that. I dropped out of the PC “master race” a long time ago, the only gaming I do on my PC these days is in the form of emulation(GGPO, 8 and 16-bit era days) or to play some older games like Diablo II, or Quake III era/older Unreal Engine/Source based games. I just want to hit the bare minimum specs to run D3, that’s all I care about. To do that, I just need to nab a 512 card off my cousin and get a new processor that’s in the 4GHZ+ range or so. If I have to run D3 on lowest settings at 640 resolution with a janky framerate, I’d be happy.

My number crunching and overclocking days are in the past. Maybe someday I will make a glorious return, if next-gen consoles turn out to be ass, or if I come into a shitload of money or something.

I do miss having smooth framerates and high resolutions, though. I also miss 32 player caps in FPS games.

I have an i5 650 sitting on my desk at home. Ordered it on accident. If you get yourself an LGA 1156 motherboard, I’ll sell it to you for half retail price.

So much Blizzard nerdom, up in here.

This the GD lounge, you dweebs - not the “Gee, D3” lounge.

Get it right.

Also, all these crazy numbers floating around are meaningless in light 680.

Cursing is my religion. And Jesus fucking Christ, religion has continuity issues.

Also: I am floating, with my eyes closed, with no sails. I am soaking, I am weathered, by the winter of mixed drinks.

Unless you are talking about DEE THREE, in which case, the 680 is just 400 dollars more expensive than the video card one would need to run it.

Speaking of DEE THREE, the official thread is killing me.

What the hell do you guys write when a job applications where you get 1 question that ask you what amazing/intrestring thing about your life.

Cause honestly right now i cant think of any.

Applications ask that now? I thought that was always part of the interview, since the only thing the look at on an application is your name, where you work and/or how long it’s been since you’ve worked.

You didn’t even say anything just now.

Like the new thread title? :coffee:

Yes he did.

He just had a couple of typos.

What do you guys write, when a job application is where you get one question [that asks you]: what thing is amazing or interesting about your life?

The answer to the question is not the point of this little mindgame, but rather whether or not you actually have motivating passion for something.

It is an inquiry as to the applicant’s character.

Cursing is my religion. And Jesus fucking Christ, religion has continuity issues.

Any of you crumbums going to EVO?
