Well in all fairness, the O.G Xbox was excellent quality…
I bought one that was among the first batch, and it was still going 8 years later after I sold it… it had the most power and the best graphics out of all the systems, and had the best shooting game controller, and the pad was pretty great too(compared to the 360 controllers)…
The only downside that they secured absolutely no exclusives or never cockblocked playstation from obtaining exclusives… the game selection was piss-poor… all there was for the system was halo, ninja gaiden, blinx time sweeper, panzer dragoon orta, burnout 3, shenmue 2 port… and I think that’s it other than a handful of shooting games…
The ports of Xbox games were superior, but those were never games I cared about…:sad:(except Burnout 3 and Deadly Alliance)
The harddrive was huge, and you could use it to download cd tracks to your xbox and use it as an in-game soundtrack for games like Burnout 3(yes, Xbox O.G was the first to do it and everyone followed suit… 6 years later when the next gen of consoles got released:rofl:)…
PS2 is my favorite console just because of game selection with all of that said though

My first Xbox worked fine for awhile, but it died twice. By the 2nd time (I already had it fixed once), 360 was already out at that point so I gave up on the first one and moved on to the new 360 era, which would later be the pioneer of a new level of shitty system quality. Before 360, it was the first Playstation that held that crown, but I suppose MS figured they could surpass them in that exciting field of “ground-breaking failure rates!”.
I had fun with finishing off the job on Xbox though… I issued a severe beat-down on that bitch… it only would’ve been more satisfying if that thing could somehow feel the pain. I wish that system could actually scream out in pain as I beat and crushed the life right out of it. I would’ve laughed and spat in its “face” while I continued the rage-fueled destruction.
ah, I see one likely reason this show “Level Up” is successful…it has a cute girl in it… she’s definitely a good one…should keep an eye on that one…yeah…
*Scooby Doo movie is on yet again…at least this isn’t as bad as the early days of CN. Back then, they were Scooby Doo 90% of the time… heh, I just remembered there was a dude I knew in high school that actually looked like Scooby! I’m surprised no one ever gave him that as a nickname.
fun fact: the scene in Kick Ass where he firsts gets his ass kicked by the two thugs, when he firsts dons his costume, was filmed one block from my new house. I need to get a kickass costume, and reenact that scene.
Oh shit i remember that level in Shadows. It scared the hell outta me back in the day to! i hate swimming levels that dark and murky and hard to see. I powered through it tho (And cheated with codes for powerful guns and jet pack). Fuck that fuckin level.
Akimbo: I recommend the X31s. I think that’s the model. The $99.99 wireless model.
Awesome (stereo) audio, and only 1 wire to fuck with, chained to your controller. That last bit is a deal breaker to some, but I don’t talk to people unless my controller is in my hands anyway.
I read reviews, citing interference as the only downside. I haven’t really ever experienced that, though I have enough distance to accommodate 2- player Kinect.
My friends and I were reminiscing about the old days of MMO’s where you could really do anything and it wasn’t just a push to max level and raid for items.
Even Vanilla WoW was good for it.
The last bastion of hope is EQ Next. Because they claimed they want to bring back the gameplay to EQ1 days… Praying to Rallos Zek that it is true.
Although The Secret World does seem very very interesting.
The X31’s are nice to. I bought my brother a pair of those and they are what convinced me to go the extra mile on the ones i want cuz they where sooooo nice.
