It’s time I get a fight stick. I can build my own, or mod one to get what I want, but does anybody have any recommendations for a stick? I’m all for minimalist and I don’t need a full 8 button layout. I don’t need (or want) fancy pics of fg characters on it.
I need it for PS3. Any suggestions?
I recommend you dont call it a “fight stick” ever again. Get one of them 60 dollar madcatz sticks.
6 button sticks make me feel right about life
My friend came up with a similiar idea to this. Though summoning a large rune wasn’t one of his ideas. It was either something amplifying how loud he could sing on his body or something attached the instrument itself. I like the belt idea though as it allows customization and doesn’t really get in the way of anything.
A couple of years ago there was a thread on SRK about a guy who robbed a bank and demanded 4 gazillion dollars, before being arrested. Does anybody remember this thread? I’ve tried different key word combinations combinations but I still can’t find it.
Arcade Stick, then. Either way I need one. Are those cheap ones okay and easy to mod?
yea, they are easy to mod. the stock buttons are pretty meh though.
They’re easy to mod and it would be a good idea to mod one of those cheap ones. Look on craigslist, I bet you could find a used TE for 80 bucks or less. Or hit up the tech talk area and have one of them custom deals made for you.
Anyone else tired of their friends trying to make you get SFxT?
I got people telling me retarded shit like, “You’re depriving yourself of fun.”
Might acquire the PC version for the inevitable Koryuu edition though.
If you’re looking for a good pre-built stick, I highly recommend the MadCatz SFxT VS stick. I had a chance to work with some last weekend, and I fell in love with the construction. It’s just generally a good stick, and has lots of room for customization with plexi.
they are jealous of your intelligence.
nowadays “fun” is synonymous with “it objectively sucks, but i like it anyway”
I had about 15 people come over to my place last night, we played like till 4am…Dat SFxT 2vs2 was fun as hell…Im liking this game just as much as KOFXIII…
Yup, its great fun for all the wrong reasons. Still mad that my avatar won’t animate.
On the plus side, my Algol on SCV now has a Dr. Strange alternate custom and it feels good.
…and this just reminded me of some SCV bullshit… why did they let Ezio be selectable for customization, but you can’t customize him? It’s like some sort of joke there…either that or another example of Namco/Bandai simply being quite lazy with this game. Either way it’s another little thing that annoys me about this game. I suspect the worse possibility there…that Namco/Bandai really has no respect at all for their customers… like behind the scenes, you just KNOW they laugh all day long about an un-customizable character being selectable for customization, or the “DLC” back in part 4 that was already in the game and unlockable by normal play. Aint that some shit? Other games at least have the “DLC that’s really already on the disc you bought” locked…but no, they took the slap to the face a bit further and sold things that were actually unlockable by regular play. It’s still crazy to me that a company actually did that and basically got away with it. Oh and there’s a 3rd layer to this slap-to-the-face— not only was the content on the disc…not only was it unlockable by just playing the damn game… but if I recall, you STILL had to accumulate the necessary in-game gold or whatever currency it was to then unlock it again after you spent real money to buy it. So, you could play the game normally and get “item A”…or you could pay real money to have “item A” available right now but still locked, so you still have to play the game for awhile to actually use “item A” that you just purchased with real money.
…the lack of other character endings for arcade is pitiful. That’s something that has been in most fighting games since at least around 1990/91, folks. Here comes half-ass SC5 in 2012 with all the focus on the storyline of 2 characters. It makes arcade even more of a shallow experience than it already is. It would be great if I could transplant the improved character creation from this over to a previous Soul Calibur game.
*oh hey now… my baby Andrea Tantaros is on Fox right now, with a nice short, TIGHT white dress… goodness gracious… I would unleash a tsunami of perversion the likes of which have never been seen in this world… she would get RAVAGED…that girl would have to stay in bed for a few days “recovering” from it.
…oh yeah, and now she’s on again with “The Five”, which also features the delicious Kim Guilfoyle.
I like the campaigns in MW1 and 2. i never play them online tho. it’s a waste of a mode.
People have called me a hipster for not liking SFxT. I just smh and move on.
The funny thing about SFxT is that most of the decisions are bad for the overall competitive communities. But since I see that either people ignore my new post or didn’t understand it, the competitive sites are going to start their mornings cleaning their teeth with developer semen. If we could actually act together as a single community, we could probably lobby hard for the little things that make our lives better: like you know, button mapping that makes sense.
Young Justice probably has the longest single season for a cartoon in recent memory. I wonder what episode the season finale will be.
And I miss Symbionic Titan, watching it over makes me a very sad panda…
Dammit such an epic season finale too! DAMMIT ALL TO HELL!!!
I didn’t even know Clash of the Titans had a part2, i saw the trailer today…Why am I hype for this when the remake one was just meh…
