Your “best work” is anything you can keep under a paragraph. Don’t get me wrong, i respect the passion and all. Nah, I understand. Like that piece on the community stuff has been bothering the shit out of me since I posted it. Especially since I’m very particular about stuff I consider “work” as opposed to randomly posting here. If I could put some of the stuff as consice as possible I would: I’ve gone through technically writing and editing shit to as clean and clear as needed is my shit.
But then I have that anthropology side that needs to make sure to explain really complicated shit as simple as possible but blah.
tl;dr: If I could make those one paragraph and have them be clean and people understand them, I would but if I can spare a paragraph or two more to make it all work better then I might as well take them.

In all seriousness, if you feel the need to write in that kind of volume, you should take time to outline and organize your thoughts. Look for sentences that are just there for window dressing. Separate yourself from the work and think to yourself, what would somebody who doesn’t understand the message I’m trying to convey already take from this? Yeah, it may seem like excessive work for a forum post or whatever, but if it’s worth writing that much about, then it’s worth at least getting the intended message across.
Wasn’t Pepe LePew more of a serial molester? He’s definitely guilty of some sort of sexual assault, but I’m pretty sure there has to be some sort of intercourse (or an attempt at it) for it to be rape. He just wanted to make out. A lot.
I know, I know. I got caught between taking care of a sick girlfriend and wanting to meet a self-imposed deadline. Its one of those that, like when you do art, you look at a piece again and you can see all the little shit you couldn’t get quite right. Usually I write a rough draft first, throw it away and then re-write everything again. That way I get some of the bullshit away form the system and can start on scratch with having the ideas I want to touch fresh in my mind.
That shit won’t happen again. Next time when its finished is when its finished regardless of whatever shitty self imposed deadline I’m trying to meet.
