Wine actually doesn’t have a repository. According to them: “I won’t set up an APT repository for these packages, because I don’t want to encourage people to install binary packages from third parties without thinking about what they’re doing.”
I ended up downloading and installing the packages from there anyway. Too many missing dev packages to fully compile it on my system. At least I have sound. Now when I run over hookers in my car I can hear the splat. That’s all anyone really wants, isn’t it?

The White Mage is a girl though, I have qualms using her/it as when I shut the game off and my party is alone in the woods I don’t want them having heinous debauchery out there as I am a devout member of the National Organization Against Sordid Sex NOASS
It must be such a lucky, wonderful thing to have a job you enjoy, because for most people, the working phase of life is such a soul-draining experience… like it kills you slowly, day by day. The weekends become those fleeting, tragically short moments of true happiness and freedom that one looks forward to. I wanted to play some video games last night, but I had no energy and/or motivation to do so because I just felt like a Superman that was imprisoned in a kryptonite cage for most of the day… I didn’t want to do anything but sit around and rest, watch the unbelievably gorgeous girls on those CW shows and check out the internet.
Even more depressing though are the situations of those that don’t even get freedom on the weekends due to certain family obligations…which is why I seriously DO NOT envy those who are married with kids…even despite how lonely I get most of the time. I don’t see where you get any kind of personal time or “freedom” on the weekends in that scenario… even before my old college roommate was married, it seemed like he was on such a short leash…
Isn’t it a downer when you have to “check in” with a certain someone on a regular basis? …like you’re on parole?! Or…when you have to run errands on an otherwise perfect “time to sit back and do nothing!” Saturday? I always feel like the weekend is RUINED when I have to do something. My ideal weekends are where I can sit back and do whatever I want at whatever time I want to do it, basically… like if I want to lay on the floor by the patio and stare up at the clouds for the entire morning, and I can do that without someone questioning me or nagging me to do something else…or I can watch movies and tv all day…or play video games all day, or eat pizza for breakfast, maybe go out for a jog at 5 am or 11pm, whatever… I enjoy that absolute freedom. The life of a family man doesn’t seem to include this for any decent amount of time, EVER…for the rest of your life. Fuck all that. Jesus Christ that is just beyond depressing…

white mage is cool but the red mage has exit which is the only reason i use either of them. of course, the red mage is mediocre at everything, but he has exit eventually so if you don’t want your party gangbanging the shit out of the white mage go red.
fighter, black belt, black mage, red mage. you can sub black mage with thief if you want to get a ninja, as the ninja can cast haste and temper to boost damage/hits.
i’ve pretty much beat the game with every party on my phone because the i typically play ff1 when i drop the kids off at the pool.
