SRK Lounge Holidays Edition

I had just the opposite problem. I used Rolento as a battery because of his C.MK xx Patriot Circles, but once in a while I’d accidentally blow what little meter I had on an ineffectual Take No Prisoners instead.

The last Street Fighter game to really blow me away was Alpha 2. SF3 did initially, more due to its presentation than anything else. CvS2 didn’t really capture me from the start, but it won me over by being the only Capcom fighter of its generation to be any damn fun to play.

CvS2 was the only truly good major game of its generation, and of generations since. I can then infer that whatever games you like are boring, ugly, and shitty.

Unless it’s KOFXIII, which actually looks great.

Sorry dawg, not possible. I don’t like shitty games.

If we rule out both CVS2 and shitty games, the only logical conclusion is that you don’t like anything.

It was good to do once in a while because the LV.3 version did ridiculous damage, ensuring that annoying Vega or Sak was gone for good.

A3 impressed me more from a presentation standpoint (loved the announcer and music) and was really the first traditional fighter I took seriously as a competitive fighter. A-Guy and A-Gen were so much fun to play. Backtracking to A2 I can see the appeal, but I never really liked the format as much.

If CVS2 is considered shitty, I can’t even fathom what these current mainstream fighters represent then… A black hole constituted of a shit singularity?

KOFXIII so far is pretty damn great.

damn, some dark alley online gameplay.

I liked A3, but the gameplay was tweezed so much that, to me, something about it just feels off. It’s almost halfway to a Vs. game with all the combo opportunities and air juggles. It’s kind of mechanical.

V-ism being your best bet 99% of the time kills A3 imo. CVS2 is the Ism system done right.

CvS2 blows. A3 had Karin.

I don’t get it, he’s just using Team Trench coat…big deal

New Year’s Resolutions?

This is what I want to be doing in 2012!

If V-ism lasted less time and you couldn’t build meter by whiffing throws A3 would be 100% more awesome. That being said v-ism combos took more skill than anything dudes do today outside of anything Desk randomly decides to do.

The only worthy fighting game of this generation is skullgirls (as far as 2d fighters go).

Although with the games it’s competing against it’s not that hard. But even comparing it against the older games its still on of the best fighting games I’ve ever played.

What is it that sets skullgirls apart from the other fanmade games that copy the likes of Guilty Gear?

Reading about fighting games is depressing. Not for the reasons you’re thinking either.

It does everything so smart, it isn’t just another a,b,c, etc. Anime fighter, it’s like mvc2 done right. 6 burin control scheme, air dashes here and there, the speed of the game, every single detail of the game and every single frame is so thought out. Have you seen a couple of the character walkthroughs on game trailers with mike z? Those alone help give insight into why he did what he did with the character. Painwheel’s is good as well as ms. Fortune’s.

On top of the game looking absolutely stunning in person. There are a ton of small details that really make it all such An amazing fighter and game (when ms. Fortune crouches you can see her head part from her body for a second and the muscle tissue between her head and body). No comeback mechanics, being able to choose your team size, custom assist (one of my favorite things). The infinite detection system is pretty awesome too.

The flow of the game is great, it felt like mvc2 speed when I played it. They give characters the tools they need to be effective rather than trying to do something like give a grappler more health to try and deal with a bad matchup (tager/nu gief/Seth) which doesn’t fix the actual problems the grappler in those matchups have and prolong a loss for said grappler (just one example off the top of my head).

I’m the question and answer thread mike z has answered tons of questions and helped given insight on his own personal development process almost everyday and even taken some of the suggestions from there and implemented them into the game.

You really have to play it, I could go on and on about it but it really is one of if not the best fighter I’ve ever played.

Oh mike has also said they have designed every character to be viable on point so we won’t get any psylock/haggar characters that are only good for an assist.

from what i remember its coded differently in a way if they find an infinite/glitch ect it can be fixed right away.

as well as its not pixel based its full on animation. my art brother is the director for animation of it i believe.

yeah, even though Creepy Chan’s right eye is bigger than her left eye, she has God Tier eyes easy. MacBauer Tier has already been claimed by the National Geographic chick. i don’t even have to post a picture. people who i’m talking about.

lol the house itself looks so uncreepy on the outside. i guess that’s how it works when it’s trying to get fresh blood for the sacrifice.

sarcasms get scar chasms (wtf did i just say?)

i didn’t know she was nationally fuckable until now. anyway she’d be instant High Tier except she over-sculpts them, so she can’t go any higher than Camilla Belle who also over-sculpts. imo chicks shouldn’t touch them unless they have a uni (Natalie Portman).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

fuck history. she’s a coward trying copy trends of girls much younger than her. she plucks her eyebrows. Ali Michael straight up says her eyebrows are her best feature. respect

also positioning matters too. J. Conn’s eyebrows are a little bit too close to her eyes in comparison to Ali.

How does the infinity detection system work anyway?
