gaming pc’s may be a lot more expensive in korea but they’re still expensive in the states, thats my point. how many people do you know that own high-end gaming PC’s? not many, i’m sure.
i havent been to an internet cafe that didnt serve food or offer a day/weekly pass, theres nothing unique about that.
one of the main reason people go to gaming internet cafe is the net speed. 100mb upload/download would set you back $500+ a month so its just not feasable for anyone to pay that much money for the internet connection in their house.
you’re confusing me, a LAN network can also be connected to the internet. if you dont want to play your friends, just play somebody else online.

I saw them open for Tool, way back before I really knew anything about Meshuggah. My biggest regret is that I had no idea what I was getting into. If I had, I definitely would have appreciated them more. “A bunch of weird guys playing a bunch of crazy stuff” was about the limit of my comprehension.
if you’re talking about pre-configured rigs then yeah korean computers are more expensive…but don’t most gamers build their own systems? in which case, parts are significantly cheaper from what i’ve seen at the various technomarts.
i think the appeal of pc bangs is more a matter of space. most koreans live in small ass studios or with their parents…don’t really have the space for a desk, gaming rig and big ass comfy chair. that’s the real draw of pc bangs imo…i remember at my old apartment i didn’t have a/c so i would go to the pc bang to watch shit in the a/c and drink complimentary raspberry iced tea lol.
You can pretty much build any spec PC yourself, for about 2/3 of what a boutique would cost.

I can understand gutturally-delivered lyrics, even if it took me a quite a while to get used to them and even if it makes them kinda unintelligible at times; ironically, it was Metalocalypse that helped me get used to that and I think they’re one of the better bands still even if I haven’t watched that show in a while.
