Nothing offensive. Someone had commented that there was nothing that people could do to help North Koreans now. I responded with information about the Underground Railroad happening in China, and mentioned the work that people (like I have done myself) are doing for the North Koreans that are in Seoul right now that speak out against the regime internationally and are also preparing to go back to their homeland when the regime collapses for humanitarian efforts/evangelism.
The person I responded to responded with something along the lines, “I had no clue this was going on. I would like to help but don’t know any Korean or Chinese.” I tried to post something saying, “If you genuinely want to help, I know people that I could put you in contact with, that could give you an idea of what you COULD do despite your limitations in language skills. I could also recommend some documentaries to you that could inform you about the current efforts, beyond what I could write up in a comment. I won’t post them here out of fear of being flagged as spam, so just contact me directly.”
The comment (and subsequent ones–this didn’t happen on my previous comment) said “This comment will be screened by moderators before it is posted.” It also says on the comment section: “CNN welcomes a lively and courteous discussion here, so we do not pre-screen comments before they post.”
So I’m 99% certain that was me getting banned for brushing the subject with someone that genuinely seemed interested in the dialogue.
Meanwhile, the rest of the comment section has denigrated to trolling, racism, and name-calling. From the same people that do it, that don’t get banned.
I hate having to deal with Ads…and now websites will block vids since you cannot upload the ads but will let you watch by disabling adblock add ons. Fuck you Hulu for that.

My latest regrettable gaming purchase = Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. I’ll get back to playing it again some day, maybe even tonight… it was such a mediocre first impression that I’m not even that interested in it after just a few minutes of the first shoot-out scene and gameplay.
C’mon Capcom… a RE 3rd Person action-shooter that is even more action oriented than the previous Resident Evil games…multiplayer and all that jazz… different factions and different special skills to upgrade for each character… HOW do you manage to fuck that up? This should’ve been 100x more awesome than it is.
sheeit, I was playing Lost Planet 2 yesterday; I forgot how much fun could be had with that… why not just rip the gameplay engine from there and throw the RE characters and world on top of it (*making sure to keep the cool grapple-hook shenanigans)? That could’ve been amazing. Even played solo, LP2 was still a lot of fun, imo… when more people with you in co-op though, it was on another level of greatness.
