If you really were doing it for the sake of costume making like you claim it is, you wouldn’t go to the conventions dressed up. You’d either do a photoshoot or sell the costumes.

It depends on what you cosplay as. If you go as something because you love it, great. But if your costume is of something that’s already over-sexualized then your judgement is in question when you complain about the attention it attracts.

Half-assed ones, like boxy shitty paint job Iron man. If you are going to take the time to make one of these don’t half-ass it and look like a 'tard in public.
Fat people cosplaying roles that aren’t of fat people. Examples: Fat Dante, Fat Naruto, Fat Harley Quinn.
Wife-beater, jeans, and shitty hair Wolverines. There is a handful at every convention.
Heath Ledger Joker. Oh look at me, I’m pretending to be like no one else yet look exactly like everyone else. Classic Joker is classy as fuck.
