1.) Lag was ONE of the issues. Even without the lag, you still have the issue of headshots killing in one hit and body shots only hurting feelings. You still have the issue of the worst friendly fire system in history*. You still (most times) have the issue of Drebin Points.
*Even if it wasn’t in official battle, it shouldn’t have been in the game period. That’s how terrible it was.
2.) The systems mentioned above sucked period, and that’s why I, allegedly, had to play tournament/survival/official battle just to get fun out of the game. It’s not because the game requires supreme skill. It’s because the gears powering it sucked. I don’t care what shooter game it is; me having to empty over half a clip into your body to even have a shot at killing you is not “skill”. It’s developer stupidity.
And to go on a tangent, that whole “you just don’t have skill” argument needs to stop. Seriously. It’s being used to give us some of the crappiest mechanics in gaming now. I bet Capcom put X-Factor into MVC3 because “better players will adjust”. I know for a fact Infinity Ward put Deathstreaks into MW3 (despite the wave of hate they got in MW2) because “better players can take a challenge and bad players need a boost.” I bet that was their logic behind the support class setup too. People need to recognize when something is just stupid. Bullshit is not a “challenge.” Period. It’s just an obstruction to the fun you could be having.
On a totally unrelated note, does the IRS just not like being paid? I have some tax bill from way back I’m trying to see about and pay, but lost the bill a while back. They haven’t sent me a new one, so I’ve been trying to contact them. Their site only deals with straight up taxes, not bills you have to pay. You can’t get that information unless you’re doing taxes, I guess. So, I tried calling them twice. Both times, I waited a whole fucking hour on hold before hanging up. I just don’t know what their deal is. I’ve never had to work this hard to give a person/place money.
