Neither were any of the MKs after 3 and they kept making sequels. Being an MK fan has to be like being a heroin addict: no matter how bad it is for you there is nothing that can possibly stop you from continuing to do it.

Rob Liefeld quit DC today. It was acrimonious. He’s hinting via Twitter that he may air some dirty laundry in the near future.
I liked Deadly Alliance so I bought Deception. Horrible turn of events. I got a burned copy of MK Mugen aka Armageddon and passed on MkvsDC. I liked MK9 though. They just ruined it by killing off all but 3 people. And WTF is with Kitana and Freddy’s pain in the ass zoning.
I stopped playing MK during the 3d era, but I did enjoy the latest version, though MK2 is still my favorite MK game.
I doubt MK was very beloved from MK4 up to Armageddon. I’ve played them but never bought them, due to being fucking terrible. MK9 I enjoy though.
Speaking of Killer Instinct, when I got my driver’s license, the first place I went was the local Family Fun Center and played Killer Instinct.
After UMK3, being an MK fan was like being in an abusive relationship. Those dudes got smacked by so many bad games that you could play a documentary of the franchise in the Lifetime network and have women relate to it.
