that was a weird physical. So the first dude was some asshole from India. I’d crack jokes, try to get a conversation going, anything to ensure he wasn’t going to kill me in his office or make him seem like a human being. Didn’t work. So he tells me to go piss in a cup. Fantastic, I already went. So I proceed to try to piss in a cup squirt by squirt (don’t ask), and fill it up with the most insignificant amount of urine ever. Which, btw, is really really fucking warm.

Then I get to wait in a waiting room again until some chick doc gets me. I’m like ok, cool. This nurse will lead me to the ball fondling guy. NOPE. This was my doctor. Some mediocre milf who was just starting to get past her prime. We go through most of the fun and games, and then she does hernia tests and ball juggling (my balls that is). Now, this is fine and all, except for the fucking fact that there is a fucking window in her office, and a playground outside. So I’m watching kids play on jungle gyms and play kickball (anything to avoid eye contact), while some chick almost 20 years older than me tickles my nutsack for science. I really wish there was another clinic in my city that did occupational checkups.

Fun times at work.

I work at an environmental lab dealing primarily with customer service, so I get some pretty entertaining client requests. Most of what we do works with the various cities’ wastewater treatment plants and whatnot, real trace level shit (like, parts per billion and whatnot), but we do deal with a fair bit of drinking water clients and some soil analyses. This includes homeowners. And real estate agents. This is where the nutters come from. Anywhere from people who want to test for “everything” like if we’re CSI to people paranoid of the government and shit.

Today was most amusing. I get a call from a homeowner. He sounded like he was in his 50s or 60s, and asked if he could have us test his soil for Gold content. It took all my efforts not to reply in my best prospector imitation “so, you want ta know if there’s GOLD in them thar hills?!?”

That makes me baby-punching angry. WipEout is probably one of the greatest racing franchises ever made. It was pulling off speeds that other games wish they could achieve, even in the 90’s.
