How was Otakon? I’ve never been to a con and from the videos I’ve seen its just mostly people breakdancing, cosplaying (With about 5 good cosplayers there) and trolling each other.

the con itself was kinda bullshit. but ive done enough cons that i honestly don’t go for it for the cons. i go for the parties and chilling with my con friends who live in far off states. Its literally partying nonstop from thur-sun for me. The rave was really bullshit this year, for whatever reason they kept breaking up the dance circles claiming its for space reason. even though their was plenty of space to dance…and they did the line really weird as well…like the rave consistently had lines going til 1am on saturday. When they should have had plenty of space to not be breaking up the lines.

i actually saw alot of high quality cosplays this year…and some shitty ones…but more really good ones overall.

we had a pretty big circle of breakdancers and trickers on saturday. Went for about 1-2 hours straight…hella good times. always funny to see how otakon gives no fucks to the circle…if we had a had we’d make so much dough lol.

my tekken friends tend to call steves d/f 2 a yolo move. doesnt seem that unsafe but wtf do i know i only have a moderate understanding of the game…and its what i main lol.

db 2 is a seeable low (by decent players) and -15 on block so it kind of is a YOLO move. So it isn’t a move you should be just throwing constantly since Steve has faster and better lows. But if you are playing people who are new or have bad reactions then the move is fine.

its more of town but its the biggest town in the us. framingham,ma its about 45 min outside of boston. but it seems most mass tekken players are far out like amherst or near ct.

I finally got around to making HDD space on my PS3. Deleted a bunch of seasons of Always Sunny(this was painful to do, but I have other ways of re-watching the show) and I made over 10GB’s of room. Reinstalled RAGE+downloaded the $5 DLC which I bought last Christmas(yep.) Re-downloaded the other DLC that came with the “Anarchy Edition” of the game, too, and in total the game takes up a bit over 10GB of HDD space. Fucking nuts. Gameplay is sweet though, and the DLC gives me an excuse to re-visit the world of RAGE and its awesome gunplay. DLC gives you the Nailgun, which brings me back to Quake 1. Original Anarchy Edition DLC gives you the Double-Barreled shotgun which brings it back to DOOM 2 and some extra missions. The extra missions and extra weapons are on seperate DLC codes, and when I played through RAGE the first time in 2011, I went through the game without the extra weapons because I didn’t enter in both DLC codes. Derp.

I cleared out a lot of the old install data from my PS3’s hard drive not too long ago because I only had 18 gigs of space left.

When I was done I looked at my system memory and I had 348 gigs free. Lol.

EDIT: Also, every time I see Xrd footage I just want to explode because it looks so goddamn sexy.

The rave was really bullshit this year, for whatever reason they kept breaking up the dance circles claiming its for space reason. even though their was plenty of space to dance…and they did the line really weird as well…like the rave consistently had lines going til 1am on saturday. When they should have had plenty of space to not be breaking up the lines.

i actually saw alot of high quality cosplays this year…and some shitty ones…but more really good ones overall.

we had a pretty big circle of breakdancers and trickers on saturday. Went for about 1-2 hours straight…hella good times. always funny to see how otakon gives no fucks to the circle…if we had a had we’d make so much dough lol.

my tekken friends tend to call steves d/f 2 a yolo move. doesnt seem that unsafe but wtf do i know i only have a moderate understanding of the game…and its what i main lol.

db 2 is a seeable low (by decent players) and -15 on block so it kind of is a YOLO move. So it isn’t a move you should be just throwing constantly since Steve has faster and better lows. But if you are playing people who are new or have bad reactions then the move is fine.

i tend to spam it in a corner, not sure the technical reason but you def can spam the shit out of it in certain situations after the first initial one. if they cant roll i can do it over and over if they roll i tend to get at least 2 of them out before they can back up. yeah bad reactions def also plays a part.

I would say just don’t get in the habit of that if you are trying to get better, because once you meet somebody decent you’re gonna get blown up. Plus YOLO hopkicks beat it clean so theres that.

I wish there was more people too, because most people in this damn city are Online Warriors. that’s that shit I don’t like.

it seems like theres one other kid who plays tekken in my town. and we’ve been playing for the past 10 years, its weird my scene died in my town…we used to have alot of good guys even some evo top 5 guys. everyone either moved or quit…saw one of our top players recently working at a bar. someone who was probably 5-10 years older than me when i played.

im only an online warrior cause i literally have no other options unless im driving an hour or so away.

its more of town but its the biggest town in the us. framingham,ma its about 45 min outside of boston. but it seems most mass tekken players are far out like amherst or near ct.

That’s a raw deal. You’d think such a big city would have more of a FG scene? Or does everybody just play Marvel like here?

current generation of fighters in my town are all mahvel and sf4 guys.

Two games I don’t care to play too. Marvel is too DERP and SF 4 is too boring.

I finally got around to making HDD space on my PS3. Deleted a bunch of seasons of Always Sunny(this was painful to do, but I have other ways of re-watching the show) and I made over 10GB’s of room. Reinstalled RAGE+downloaded the $5 DLC which I bought last Christmas(yep.) Re-downloaded the other DLC that came with the “Anarchy Edition” of the game, too, and in total the game takes up a bit over 10GB of HDD space. Fucking nuts. Gameplay is sweet though, and the DLC gives me an excuse to re-visit the world of RAGE and its awesome gunplay. DLC gives you the Nailgun, which brings me back to Quake 1. Original Anarchy Edition DLC gives you the Double-Barreled shotgun which brings it back to DOOM 2 and some extra missions. The extra missions and extra weapons are on seperate DLC codes, and when I played through RAGE the first time in 2011, I went through the game without the extra weapons because I didn’t enter in both DLC codes. Derp.

I cleared out a lot of the old install data from my PS3’s hard drive not too long ago because I only had 18 gigs of space left.

When I was done I looked at my system memory and I had 348 gigs free. Lol.

EDIT: Also, every time I see Xrd footage I just want to explode because it looks so goddamn sexy.

I try to keep games installed if I know I’m going to play them again. I hate reinstalling/re-downloading and re-installing patches/DLC.

I bought it day 1 because I was just thinking “Fuck, this shit’s gonna be fuckin’ Street Fighter but with fuckin’ Tekken characters too! Sick!” cause I mean, on paper that sounds like it’d be pretty damn fun.

But the more and more I played it I realized that while it was pretty entertaining, I just couldn’t take it competitively serious. The same exact thing happened with Marvel 3 for me as well.

Both times it was equally disappointing and depressing, and possibly still is. :sad:

Being not-a-Tekken-player I first started hearing it used to describe Dr. Doom’s foot dive in Marvel 3. But if it was stolen from Tekken they should have changed the meaning, like with “fuzzy guard.”
