SRK Lounge: aka Facebook/livejournal for GD ...or you know...not

I have a weakness towards Little Caesar’s Crazy Bread. I know their are more viable alternatives, but fuck it. I inhale that shit with the quickness, and barely leave any room for the 5 dollar pizza that will take 5 years off my life.

Delicious? When the Little Cesar’s mascot says “Pizza Pizza” he’s just lied twice.

Meh, just no. Whenever I use Office, it’s just a headache. I always either:

  1. Never get it to format right, no matter what I try, unless I try to do it in a slow and unresourceful way, which is the opposite of how a office suite should run.
  2. Can never find what I’m looking for, because MSOffice is menu’d in the most illogical way possible.
  3. Something breaks that I don’t even know how it’s broken or how to even fix it. There was some kind of circle object on my wife’s Word file…a circle. It wasn’t text, either, but you couldn’t select the circle, delete the circle, or do anything with it. It just was stuck there, being circley.

I’ve had a couple of glitches in earlier versions of Libre (mostly crashes if I try to open up a table-intensive file, but since february’s update, I’ve not had many problems running it.

I fucking hate Office in Windows 8 with a fiery passion of a thousand suns. Why should I have to pay the license to work on my shit??? And it’s tough as fuck to find reliable passwords on the Intrawebz too…

Fuck MS FO-EVA!

I haven’t been to a pizza chain in years, I mostly just go to mom n’ pop places.

Felt like sharing again:

Funniest shit I’ve read all day.

I haven’t had Pizza Hut in a while. The stuffed crust as leftovers was heaven.

Too bad the rest of the slice is vomit-inducing.

Just use Open Office and don’t look back.

Just use Open Office and be done with it.

When I lived in Carbondale there was a place called Quattros. They had the best pizza in town. It was homemade dough, high quality cheese and fresh ingredients. They had this grilled chicken pizza and instead of pizza sauce they used a special BBQ sauce. I got good memories with that particular pizza.

Remember when they had Crash as their Mascot? I remember I used to eat that shit backwards too.

Dominos has gotten better in the last few years it’s still not great but they are improving.

I hate when people say mom n’ pop shops. It makes them sound smug as fuck. Rep your eating establishment and give them a proper shout out. Then maybe people might actually eat there instead of the big chains.

i like having open office at home because i rarely need to do anything more than writing a letter or editing my resume. but anytime i’ve had to use it for a teaching presentation or anything beyond just text, i’ve always found myself yearning for MS office. open office’s menus options are labeled very un-intuitively which makes shit just take longer to do. i’m sure a lot of it has to do with how engrained word and powerpont’s lexicon is, but that doesn’t change the fact that that’s the way it is.

Nobody’s going to know WTF “Hacienda Heights Pizza Co” is or “World’s Bets Pizza” you jackass

^ especially when you post them as “mom n’ pop pizza places.”

it also doesn’t help that most local pizza places use generic as fuck names.

the best pizza in my neighborhood was 4 brothers’ pizza…i’ve seen a 3,4 or 5 brothers’ pizzas in just about every northeastern city i’ve been in.

Big Mama’s & Big Papa’s pizza is the literal definition of Gutter Trash.
They use grease instead of sauce.

I’ve always heard good things about Quattros, but whenever I’m in Carbondale, I’m eating ethnic food, or if I’m wanting to punish my body, Golden Corral.

There’s a lot of good locally owned Pizza places in the Southern Illinois area though. Mimmos, Gillios, Mackies to name the ones I have personally eaten that are pretty good.

You gotta get on that. Carbondale as a town kind of sucks. There are good food places though. SIU’s campus security also is balls so you can bang dumb college girls pretty easily. Its a good town to visit though. There’s also a suprisingly good Karate Dojo there.

I seem to have gone off on a tangent. But yeah try Quattros if you get the chance.

When I’m talking about the benefits of Office I’m talking about the workplace. I think only recently LibreOffice offered compatibility with MS Exchange. Unless you go web-based, most businesses had to revolve around Microsoft Exchange Server to send out/manage emails, and that means using the compatible MS Office. But there isn’t a damn thing wrong with a freeware office suite at home.

I’d like to get a general IT thread going but somebody on this board likes to write essay after essay about his IT career in Atlanta that’s either anecdotal or just bullshit.

way to make me never want to enter that establishment.

have you finished any more Louie episodes yet?

he said with nervous sweat dripping down his forehead

“too many Hollister shirts invading my space will make my pre-wrinkled flannel shirt, handle bar moustache, fixie bike, and thick-rimmed Warby Parkers with no lenses ensemble look ridic,” he thought aloud as The Black Keys blared through the speakers of his iMac

i will teach you to be a better poster. i will teach you to be a better person.
