I’ve tried again and again to watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and it always fails to hold my admittedly unforgiving attention span. The shit is just boring, and none of the character designs appeal to me as being anything special. There was one episode I happened to see with a good knife fight going on…that and the main female character walking around half naked on tonight’s episode have been the only things even worth mentioning. Otherwise, the show is like a heavy dose of cold medicine… always putting you to sleep… each time I see it, there is 99% talking, and maybe, occasionally… there’s that 1% of the time where something happens.
On the other hand, FMA tonight started off with an immediate fight scene all up in your FACE… Alphonse vs. Pride vs. that guy in the white suit (Kimlee, or however the name is spelled). was awesome… then my girl Olivia is still in a battle elsewhere against Sloth…oh, and the immortal zombie-like creatures are still on the loose.
dammit, man… there was a time when it looked like Lindsay Lohan was trying to make a comeback in terms of hotness, but she’s obviously going sharply downhill once again. The latest pictures I’ve just seen a few minutes ago are atrocious. She actually looks like an old woman at this point, and that’s just sad.

The definition of “joke” seems to be very loose in this context. Stand-up comedians have gotten away with saying much worse shit, because they actually put more than four seconds of effort into crafting the joke–or what eventually becomes a joke, rather than just an inflammatory remark that is guaranteed to catch some shit.
