Watching SF x Tekken at ncr9 makes me realize how much I miss hand drawn sprites.
It would have been so much hotter to see Tekken characters drawn in the 3s style or even CvS2. Then it would have truly felt like it was two different world’s colliding. With both Tekken and SF using cg models the lines are sort of blurred.
(Hmm…Revelations 2011’s Top 8 for MvC 3 wasn’t as Wolverine-infested as I expected. Also, damn, Viscant looks as pale as the McGovern avatar he used to sport. Or maybe it’s just VS having a more…colorful avatar of him that’s throwing me off.)
Oh hey. Between the previous anime talk and the music talk from yesterday, I just realized that you’d probably like Jigoku Shoujo/Hell Girl anime that briefly showed up on IFC. It’s not nearly as upbeat as the opening might make you think. It’s all about fucked up, desperate, no-win situations. Sort of like Deathnote if the Deathnote could only be used on one other person while also fucking you over.
In short, I’d say it’s arguably the religious whimsy of eternal damnation taken to its logical conclusion in a more…pro-active sense.
I thought that this went without saying though.
I can’t wait to buy the Ipad 3! Too bad the Ipad 4 will come out before it…

SFxTekken looks gross. Maybe it’s just me getting old and not appreciating the new SF art direction or it’s because KOF XIII just makes everything look like shit, but the graphics are pretty nasty and I don’t see that changing in the final product.
Was there a point to that list? I said STORY REBOOTS. Very few of those titles are actually starting from scratch and ignoring what came before (more than just the batman and GL titles).

(Ugh. I’ve pretty much wasted the past three hours with all of the Relevations 2011 tournaments except for the AH3 one, but I think it was worth it for just this and the subsequent comments hate.)
Nice to be reminded that even in the depths of darkest night/pre-dawn I can be bursted in on, which just further serves to remind me why I still haven’t bothered with watching anything I DVR’d; also why I have so much trouble sleeping/staying asleep.
It’s fucking ridiculous. I “hope” that if I get stuck with a roommate again, which is likely given how pricey CA is, that there’s an adequate number of bathrooms for the amount of people living where we are. That or “hope” that someone isn’t constantly going to be a stupid bitch about hogging a bathroom, especially for hours.
Seriously, what the fuck? I know women stereotypically take long, but that’s absurd, even if a battery-powered “friend” was involved.

Come on, man. The plane didn’t go down just because there was one extra person on it. It went down because it was loaded completely unevenly, and it was overloaded by over 700 pounds. One extra passenger didn’t cause the plane to go down. It was a combination of EVERYTHING. The airline company was negligent, the pilot was negligent, and apparently, so was the loading crew. It wasn’t just the pilot.

I actually don’t really know what books are NOT having story reboots.
The Batman ones are all rebooting. Dick Grayson is Nightwing again. Barbara Gordon is Batgirl again. Bruce Wayne is the main Batman again. So are all the Green Lantern books. There’s a new Green Lantern Corps. There’s a new fruity rainbow Corps under Kyle Rayner. These are all new.
Just because they keep like a single concept like Damain Wayne = Robin doesn’t mean they are not starting from scratch again. Same with the Green Lantern books. Just because they’ve kept the concept of new colours doesn’t mean that all the stories are starting from completely scratch.
Can you even name a single book that is not going to have a story reboot?

Having said that, I’d go out for pho, whereas I’d have to happen to be somewhere that serves poutine, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it. It’s a situational thing.
poutine is delicious, but like Rampage said its more of a bar food (or a damn good lunch)…
pho is also amazing, although not a bar food (but it is still more delicious)
