Its not as complicated as it seems. People were crying over being mindfucked by Inception, when that shit was straightforward. It’s one of those things where everything represents something, subtly.
FLCL is still one of my top 3.
Seems you’d have to try pretty hard to be lost by Inception. Nearly every dialogue exchange is dedicated to explaining exactly what’s going on at any given time.
FLCL is easy to understand people just hung up one what means something and whats parody. That 12 page essay someone linked is probably around 10 pages too long when it comes to understanding FLCL which is simple. It’s about a boy learning how to be a boy while surrounded by adults who wish they where where still kids, much like any adult.

Well, the museum was rather nice, even if is slightly depressing to have my mother be more interested in furniture at the beginning than art. She’s such snob without trying to be that it’s kinda of hilarious though and at least the history section was fun. [/Beyond The Impossible geekiness]
Speaking of which, I’ve been on TVTropes and been watching Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated since I’ve been back. Mystery Incorporated is so fucking meta. It’s like Deadpool wrote Scooby-Doo, though it follows in the tradition of versions of Scooby-Doo that don’t take themselves seriously being the only good ones, such as A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.
