Before shit gets too crazy in here: The Cannons have been paying out of pocket for SRK for years.
The problem is that unless you know people, you arenāt going to know jack all about the inner workings of community things. SRK costs a decent amount of money to keep open but its basically impossible to find out how much because reasons.
or you know, the realistic response. Easy to criticize when itās not hitting your wallet.

Site lost money when the premium package retired. It was competitive, made your e-dick longer, shields to protect you from the flames, circle jerking rep all day long

No doubt, but if money is the sole issue then a yearly donation drive, or special banners or privileges ala twitch for paying members could have been a thing.
Instead its like well, its cost to much to keep going, shutting it down. Especially when there are tonās of people willing to donate.

I have been a somethingawful forums member for close to 20 years and the reason Lowtax keeps that place running, and thriving with over 100 thousand members is because he lets the community give back to help offset costs in various ways. How about entertaining a solution like that instead of doing a full on bitch move like this.

Time to move on i guess. A good place for competitive fighting game with that much diversity wont be easy to find. The community will scatter in thousands of discords/facebook and other bullshit where you cant keep a decent convo rolling for more than 1 page.
