I found something weird while I was at the UK Street Fighter 25th Anniversary tournament. Poison’s close standing mp, the double-slap, seemed to whiff on crouching opponents on the PS3 version of the game. I tried it against my friend while he was crouching and she basically slapped thin air. When I got home and put on my 360 and tried it and it hit crouching opponents. Is this normal to have changes this dramatic with the PS3 and 360 versions??

Is this 2013 version you are talking about? Kinda weird if there are changes between consoles regardless of pre or post patch. While you are here. Did you get to play any 2013, and what can you tell us? I expect an essay within the hour!

I only had about 2 games of 2013, the setups were stupidly laggy for it. A few things I can say is that it feels really weird, like a different game, the red health recovers extremely slowly, and Cammy is officially bottom tier.
I can’t see quite how it feels like a completely new game. Is it the launcher being fast now? I can see how the red life *makes *it a different game, but I wouldn’t *feel *it the same way I will feel the launcher change. I just hope it’s still the game I love to play, and don’t feel too different! As a sim player I can’t say am sad about cammy haha, but I am sure I will feel the pain when I play nerfed sim as well:P
Lots of little changes that you can feel, seems like a v2.0 rather than a re-balance. Similar to how Super Street Fighter 4 was to vanilla, just on a smaller scale. I think the changes mean that I’m gonna have to change the way I play the game, to what extent remains to be seen.
Veggey was saying that in Paris. He was obviously mad for loosing to you when he said something like “He won’t be able to play like that in 2013”, but I believe he has a point, but it also goes for my style. I Have to change my sim very much, since I can’t link from anything faster than c.mp. Slide under lk link or chain in to mk won’t work or will be unsafe as a hitconfirm. As for you, you have an incredible ability to read your opponent IMO. Your dp tags are scary because you hit me most of the time, and you are “pretty safe” on block. You also use your good reactions in footsie, but you too use the chains a lot. With the dp tags being nerfed and the chains being more unsafe, I am sure you have to play different yes. With your amazing throw game and throws now being buffed, will work in your favor though! Correct me if I am wrong, or if you were thinking about something else when you said you think you have to change it up?
I think you’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head, analysing me better than I could analyse myself lol. I think the changes will affect Cammy more than Poison, because all Cammy has in this game is footsies and pokes. With every boost combo she has now punishable by the entire cast, I think learning a new character will be needed. They’ve pretty much made her unplayable.

Anyway, regarding the Poison PS3/360 difference, is there any more changes like this with other characters on difference consoles? I hope Capcom fixes this for 2013, and makes Poison’s move the same on PS3 as it is on the 360 rather than the other way round.

I’d really like to see a standardization of juggle points/juggle state. Some moves interact in bonkers ways right now. In general (and yes this is reductive but forgive me) it largely seems like if something looks like it can juggle (i.e. they are still in the air) and you have a tekken character - it will juggle. If you have a SF character, it might not. After some uppercuts and Juri’s fireball are the worst culprits. In addition, some moves send the opponent flying off in a non-juggle state for no reason that is clear to me (Hugo’s lariat when interacting with certain jump-ins, Juri’s punch to launcher chain, etc).
Absolutely need new trials ver.2K13/Reset and stop to make easy points with friends in low rank.
I’d like to have forcefeedback again. I don’t know why they removed it since SF4 vanilla. Also, 1vs1 and survival mode for 1vs1 would be nice.
Just got a Nvidia Vision 2 compatible system and I would just like to add that the 3D on the super pauses really hurt your eyes. Capcom needs to adjust the 3D settings during the super pauses.
