It’s just a big 50/50. You have to ice beam if you don’t want to get forced out just for the Landorus. If something comes in that isn’t that, then get wrecked. There are just too many angles of defense that your opponent has in this scenario.
You could also over predict and go for the double switch. I just think it’s quite skill intensive to run a Nidoqueen in OU. It’s certainly good enough by a long shot. Just difficult to play in general lol.
You scout the switch and blast him when you correctly read it. Simple as that.
Nidos resist moonblast and are immune to twave. They’re also faster than clefable. I dont think fire blast 2HKOs either of them either. Clefable is not staying in whatsoever so predict the switch.

I have a perfect Nidoqueen I’ve been wanting to EV train up. Guess I’ll give it a try.
Yeah I generally prefer Tangrowth over Amoonguss since it can perform more roles simultaneously and actually threaten things.
Oh and holy shit, that first match probably had the worst battler I’ve ever seen on showdown, and that’s saying a lot. It was like he was playing to lose.
i like amoonguss more on defensive teams, that poison typing and Spore come in handy way too often
Has the metagame changed much in the last 6 months?? I stopped playing because of school so I was just wondering if any new sets have become prevalent.
You have clearly not seen as many as I have then. That is doubtless for the best.
Speaking of which, I will leave this replay here despite having others I still want to post just because I stumbled across it about an hour ago and it is highly amusing: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-450378707.
This dude crying about “hax” when he basically did 90% to his own Infernape and was depending on Focus Miss and Hydro Pump like they don’t miss at critical moments.
Comedy.
(More amusing arrogance: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-45037742.)
Basically. I can understand getting annoyed, especially in the case of Focus Blast basically having on viable alternative in a bunch of instances, but acting like it is the opponent’s fault and that they are automatically scrubby because you missed something you are voluntarily using is the type of (constant) whining that made me quite using Pokemon Showdown in the first place.
If only there was some way to mute people by default.

Did someone ask for more trash Matches??? This one will make White Shadow move a corner of his mouth for a split second!
(+150 turn warning)

(One more replay for the night, though this one is just to show the potential of Copycat however dubious the match itself: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-450378144.)
Ha. I was wondering why that match supposedly took 150+ turns if it already seemed over at 45 turns, but then the paralysis synchronize happened. Even funnier since I watched it while “If You Still Believe” played in the background:
After that, I certainly feel justified in not believing.
Also, what exactly is “Battle Factory” since you mentioned it for the tournament, Bious?
“I literally can’t think of anything that has good defenses, no stealth rock weakness, can hold a life orb and can beat mega lopunny.”
Remembers that Clefable exists Swaps on team.

Proof that Weavile saves lives.
@“The Damned” Battle factory basically gives both you and your opponent a random team in a random tier. You could have an OU team, a LC team, or even an AG team.

This is an example UU match (that I lost). The mons you get are actually viable.
Edit: Last match with Mood.

Nigga don’t fuck with me; if he is really UU I will fucking join Po shitting on that site.

I still feel at a loss for building as there so much to consider…
Turns 89 and 93 had me lolin’. I totally saw those full Parahaxes coming, classic 'ghoul. I could feel BullDancer’s spirit falling in those moments.
Granted BullDancer made a few misplays late game by not using Spore on Mega Lopunny instead of Giga Drain, or sacrificing his Mew check Hydreigon early instead of Terrakion but still.
Locoghoul’s IRL hold item:

Battle Bond is an ability and transforms Greninja to Ash-Greninja when it faints a Pokemon.
Beat me to it… I don’t know if this confirms or denies that starter leak, but hot damn. Those middle evos are teenage awkwardness in Pokemon form.
Mega confirmed returning, demo, ASH-GRENINJA, and a whole host of new online features.
Best Pokémon games ever incoming.
