I made a mistake in this match by switching megazard y over some rocks. Turns out that it doesn’t matter. I’m not sure if I’ve out-cancered @“white shadow” but I’ll do what I can.

First match with new team. Idk what was up with the forfeit. He had winning chances because of me switching Megazord Y over rocks.

Well Dragon Hammer still will do nothing to fairies.

Why slowbro there? Maybe rotom-w for a pure pivot and wisp spreading. Slowbro and tangrowth fill too similar of a role

Another trash match:

Team I used was r00sters.

Edit: Last trash match of the night. I will forever wonder how that last turn happened.

I mean at least you won with mine but god damn dude your decision making lol.

:frowning:

Anyway, since everyone is having a blast with Battle Factory, that is our Showdown Tournament.

For Wi-Fi… I’m still deciding. Early Signups begin now.

I like your team for obvious reasons B) , but like Mood said, Tangrowth and Slowbro overlap. Not to mention the shared Bug weaknesses means that late game, after Char-Y and Volcanion are sufficiently weakened, Mega Scizor can just tear right through them and CBTar.

Either Ferrothorn and Slowbro, or Tangrowth and Rotom-W will suffice. The bonus with using Ferrothorn is that you’ll have a Rocks setter with more switch-ins, taking pressure off Excadrill who can now run SD or Ironhead and go for broke.

Forget it WS, he listened to @Mood4food77 and it went downhill from there.

COUGHScarf Defog Latios COUGH

1-800-POPIMPUS? I’d like to report a bad set.

But…i didnt suggest scarf defog latios

I have four team members and two flex slots. Figuring out what goes there is a pain. I’m just playing around with stuff until I figure something else. Volcanion has been getting stomped along with Slowbro.

I’d love Ferrothorn but this stealth rocks weakness on my team is HUGE. Not to mention that I’d have three fire weaknesses. I’m playing around with the team composition today as well lol.

Remember this.

take a look at this team. Looks very similar to what ppl have suggested.

The Manaphy is the stall breaker?! Aye, I like it.

So it’s Ferrothorn over Tangrowth, no Lati@s, and a Manaphy? Looks sweet.

Also a team from Cart(I’m not sure if Terrakion was in it). It’s still sweet though. It’s had a pretty high win ratio so far, but I haven’t gotten to see Terrakion in action though because I’ve never had to use it.

Oh wow I just struck gold again. Some benevolent Wonder Trader just sent me a competitive shiny Cradily, fully loaded! I’m not a believer in karma, but I guess I should pay it forward and send off some competitive IV spitbacks with egg moves.

And in other news, Nidoqueen is definitely underrated in OU. It has comparable power with Timid Nidoking, with the bonus of being able to switch in without making hard reads or Volturning due to its respectable bulk, while also being offensively threatening. It’s a pretty great Rocks and T-spikes setter.

Calcs for relevance:

252 SpA Mega Manectric Hidden Power Ice vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 156-184 (42.6 - 50.2%) – 1.2% chance to 2HKO

68 SpA Zapdos Hidden Power Ice vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 128-152 (34.9 - 41.5%) – guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Raikou Hidden Power Ice vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 138-164 (37.7 - 44.8%) – guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 116-137 (31.6 - 37.4%) – 87.9% chance to 3HKO

252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Return vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 279-328 (76.2 - 89.6%) – guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 135-160 (36.8 - 43.7%) – guaranteed 3HKO

252+ SpA Mega Venusaur Giga Drain vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 148-175 (40.4 - 47.8%) – guaranteed 3HKO

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 288-339 (78.6 - 92.6%) – guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 150-177 (40.9 - 48.3%) – guaranteed 3HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Aqua Jet vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 270-318 (73.7 - 86.8%) – guaranteed 2HKO

232 SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 129-153 (35.2 - 41.8%) – guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 151-178 (41.2 - 48.6%) – guaranteed 3HKO

**-2 **252 SpA Life Orb Latios Surf vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 146-174 (39.8 - 47.5%) – guaranteed 3HKO

248 SpA Mega Diancie Earth Power vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 262-310 (71.5 - 84.6%) – guaranteed 2HKO

These all represent times where Nidoqueen can either switch in and force something out or win in a standoff. I’ve encountered many of these situations and it’s won me matches due to opponents underestimating its bulk or me forcing their hand late game since they have no safe switch-ins.

@“white shadow” Nidoqueen>>>Nidoking fo sho. Nidoking has done nothing but die when I use it.

Yeah Nidoking is shockingly frail. Its speed tier is seemingly decent on paper, except that most offensive mons it outspeeds in OU have priority that wreck it. It also doesn’t help that even resisted attacks like CB Terrakion’s Close Combat and Azumarill’s Play Rough are 2HKOs.

I mean don’t get me wrong Nidoking is one of coolest Pokémon ever created, but apart from tearing apart stall teams, it still leaves more to be desired in general.

Nidoking has too much to be desired. You’d think that the minor defense stat difference wouldnt matter but it does.

The thing I hate is mis-timing a sludge bomb or earth power against a Landorus switchin and getting wrecked. Gotta be careful if Clefable and Lando are together.

There is absolutely no reason why Clef would stay in. It can’t do shit to either Nido so don’t get your predicament there
