Mega sableye learns will o wisp, there are no physical counters to him on that basis alone unless they are fire type or have magic guard (which i dont think any physical attacker has)
Heatran, clefable, mega charizard (both), and volcanion can do a number to sableye. That’s where dugtrio comes in, he eliminates these threats (as you’ll only see clefable and one fire type together at most) to make mega sableyes job much easier. Mega sableye is very good at keeping hazards off the field so dugtrio’s sash is not broken.
Mega sableye can use will-o-wisp, but Garchomp can use earthquake on him or dragon tail. I dont see Mega sableye that much of a problem seeing how clefable and azumarill can give him problems also. Even char x-can run through him.
To digress from the current discussion, this guy has one of the most offbeat but synergistic teams I’ve seen in Gen 6. It’s really cool to see someone make a team that’s divergent from the mainstream yet fully functional:

You can tell a lot of work went into tweaking it for optimal results.
How dare you forget about my boy Absol!
I wish Absol became fairy upon mega evolution. Or maybe I don’t. Lol.
Just what we need dark/fairy type
(For the record, Magic Guard does not prevent Burn from halving your physical attack, Mood4food77. It just stops you from taking Burn damage at all.)
Yeah, Absol-Mega is basically the only thing physically offensive pokemon that gets access to Magic Bounce. For all its flaws, it is still decent enough to use just for that sake, to say nothing of having what is probably the strongest STAB Sucker Punch in the game as well as Baton Pass and Play Rough. Still not sure if Dark/Fairy would make it that much better though, even if likely already gets OHKO’d by the typical Bullet Punch user:
Dark/Fairy:
Weak: Poison, Steel, Fairy
Resist: Ghost, Dark (x1/4)
Immune: Psychic, Dragon
Meh.
Not sure what the hell the second opponent was thinking, but otherwise the team looks neat enough. For as much stupid stuff as Generation V dumped to the game, I must admit that shiny Emboar looks rather cool.
Oh, forgot that tidbit, thanks
Dark/fairy would give it STAB on play rough and a much better defensive typing. Mega Absol as dark/fairy would be a top tier threat
(No problem. It is easy to forget.
Speaking of burn as it relates to abilities, it is a shame that nothing really usable gets Water Veil, especially with Scald everywhere. The only really physically oriented thing that even got it was Floatzel as well, and on that thing Water Veil was always second-fiddle to Swift Swim. Maybe Alola will fix that.)
Offensively, yeah, Dark/Fairy would be better, but that’s the case with the majority of typing combination. Defensively, it basically suffers from the Malamar problem having next to no resists and just shifting around its weaknesses. I guess it could probably take an actual Dark attack twice rather than just once now even with Absol-Mega’s still abysmal Defenses. I wonder if Alola will give us another physical-oriented Fairy attack or if we stuck with inaccurate Play Rough for another entire generation.
Ya I remember killing mega-sableye before a few times with earthquake, and bullet punch, if I remember its only Immune to normal, fighting, and psychic. Unless you have Mega lopunny
Dark/fairy resists ghost, quad resists dark, immune to psychic, immune to dragon.
Id be okay with this especially considering the amazing offense coverage dark/fairy has
Straight up would murk lati@s
please stfu. You are worse than Po. Even though that’s an achievement on its own, it’s not something we appreciate. Go back to gamefaqs or r/stunfisk
It’s just a team with 3 stallbreakers. Surely will do fine versus stall but I can see it struggling a lot versus offense. Second replay doesn’t count cuz opponent had Down
How are Talonflame, Landorus-T, excadrill, Hippowdon, Garchomp, mega-Scizor,Tornadus-T, mega Medicham, and Volcanion not good at breaking walls or anti wall pokemon. Please stfu
I’ve been wanting a good Water Veil physical attacker for the longest. Something with a Feraligatr stat spread would do just fine.
True but considering he’s using mostly nonstandard Pokémon/ sets and making it work it’s rather impressive; synergy can trump holes in a team if played properly. His team has enough lures to keep his opponents guessing and off kilter. T-Wave Hydreigon, Icebeam/Volt Switch Mew, bulky Knock Off Serperior and Sub/Toxic Emboar aren’t Pokémon that can be casually dealt with without some foreknowledge.

I mean, you tried to say garchomp straight up countered mega sableye so…
Oh I see the your wrong because I said so excuse, without even giving any reason.
Like you guys dont even give a reason why he doesnt counter mega sableye
