For one, I don’t have anyone on my friends list who I feel comfortable in dragging into a 2v2 or 4v4.
For two, I used the pistol in Halo 1.
For three, you came in here voicing off strats like you were some kind of halo pimp. Failing to notice that you completely missed the debate by about a week.
For four, I hate MLG because it tells players they don’t have to get better or try harder. They can just sit at their current level of skill and skate by. There is no Skill Building in MLG. In MM, you have to TRY! You have to beat the enemy team is the enemy team has the power weapons and control the map. You have to hold off the enemy team if you have the power weapons and control of the map. In MLG, you spawn with a BR, and its pointless to try anything unique or fun.
For five, 1v1 is the ONLY way to tell if A is better then B. Team games are just that, team games. It matters that I come in first because whether I play alone or with ?? amount of people, I always do my best to improve my game. If I come in second or anything lower, I know I still got room to learn, and I’m not trying hard enough. So I push harder and harder.
For six, MLG ripped off a bunch of its tournament winners way back in the day. I’m not sure they’ve even been paid yet. To this day. Why the fuck would I support an organization that promotes people not getting better, and doesn’t pay its tournament winners? Even if it was only a case or two, MLG is still irresponsible.
For seven, I will always and forever hate MLG. And I will play any MLG person 1v1. That challenge still stands. But because I don’t know enough people as good as me who are willing to stand up and slap MLG in the face, even though they admit they hate MLG rules, I can’t/won’t play team games.
For eight, the team I DO play Team Slayer with doesn’t view it as “OMG Rush comes in first again and again so we suck and lets split up.” I don’t brag to my team about comming in first, and my team view themselves not comming in first in the same light I view it. They’re not trying hard enough. They learn to work harder to get to my level.
For nine, anyone should feel free to bask in their mediocrity. MLG certainly supports the idea. But I -will- get better. I will improve my game. And I’m NOT going to do it by creating a new gametype. I will meet them on the Halo 2 standard, and I will beat them. If I lose, then I will try harder. I’m not going to suddenly sit back and say “H2 sucks. H1 rules. I’m going to make a new gametype that caters to my lack of skill so I can beat other people.”
For ten, the SRK “MLG vs Halo 2 MM” debate is over. Like I said, you’re quite abit late.
